Well in MOST benchmarks, the RX 580 beats the 1060 by a small margin, plus more Vram! Why not Ryzen?

I'm waiting for more ryzen mini itx motherboards to hit the market in order to move my list towards ryzen... and are all amd chips overclockable or do I have to get an "x" chip like the 1600x??
All chips are able to OC X and non X SKUS, also OC"ing on stock coolers do quite well for stock coolers, not that the 1600X doesn't come with a cooler, but the 1600 does.

Have you seen ASROCKS new mini-ITX board for AM4? Info here

I don't think any RX series GPU's will come down until the Ethereum network switches to Proof of Stake which means no more mining. They're saying it won't happen until late this year to beginning of next year. Even the lower end Nvidia cards are gaining value due to modified firmware for mining. If I were you, I'd have the money on hand to jump on a supplier as soon as a stock comes in, because it seems folks are buying 10+ cards at a time. Or, wait til the change happens, then some people will likely dump the used cards from their mining rigs which should be in decent shape since they undervolt the cards. But you may have to re-flash the firmware.

is there a limit on how much usb ports a ryzen mother board has compaired to an intel board? I see the asrock z270m-itx with 8 usb ports in total but, the fatal1ty x370 only has 5... I'm going to wait until there is a x370 board for more ways to connect portable hard drives and to power usb chargers for other devices...

I don't think there is a limit as far as I'm concerned. I think it's mainly up to the manufacturer to specify how many are on a board.

Always GTX man, it is like Intel vs AMD.
idk, I want to use my pc for all round tasks for more than just gaming and surfing youtube... and ryzen is a tad bit better when it comes to productivity when it comes to live streaming and rendering video and made people like jaystwocents and other youtubers use amd over intel for those tasks... (also, how did you get that sweet sig man? 0o0 )

Some use AMD some use intel, but the general idea as of now is that a mid-range gaming system is most likely using ryzen over an i5. I7 7700K is better for gaming but falls a bit short in streaming and rendering compared to ryzen.

If you can, get a power color Red Devil RX580. I have one and it easily OC's to 1430 and 2300 on clock and memory with no issues.

you do know there are things called USB hubs, right? 1 usb plug and how ever many ports you need.

right now I'm thinking of swapping to ryzen for my first build because it seems good enough for my needs and plus it sort of gives some assist to a rx gpu so its able to perform better... so, I'm building a ryzen build for gaming, emulation, youtube production, video editing, media library (getting more storage space in the future), possible game streaming when I'm on the go, document writing.... you get it by now..

Yeah, in the future AMD will probably continue to use the AM4 socket for a few years, so an upgrade path will exist!

if it will help in possible cable clutter, I will get one... I plan on placing this beside a 4k tv along with my ps4 slim, my ps3 super slim, my wii (which I might sell if gamecube/wii emulation goes well on the pc) and that in total, is alot of cable clutter...

click here to check on amazon for the kind you want/need. Also, get some zip ties for some decent cable management, it'll help make things look neat.

already a step ahead of you on the first one and thanks for the tip but, I would rather get some velcro strips instead of having to cut and use up lots of zip ties...
