Sorry for being too lazy to read through all 16 pages, just two questions:
  1. I read that this is able to "unlock Korok seeds!"
Does that only raise my seed count to buy inventory slots or are the Koroks really "revealed" in the map as if I really found them?
  2. Does the tool work with the latest BotW update?
It gives you All 900 seeds, and yes it unlocks all the 900 locations on the map, so it proves that you found them all so you can get your reward for finding them all.

And yes, it does work on the latest update.

Adding all Korok seeds worked very well. Dumped the save with SaveMii, edited it with your tool and injected it with Saviine.
Thank you very much!

Does injecting with SaveMii not work? I did both extraction and injection with SaveMii, but it seems to have messed up the saves somehow (Manual saves aren't actually saved/don't appear when restarting the game, autosaves sometime works and sometimes don't). I've only been able to tell if something can actually be loaded from if the picture is missing, and the SaveMii 6 savefiles include pictures from much earlier in the game (i.e. at the campfire by the shrine of resurrection).

I use Saviine. Because SaveMii does not work with Haxchi. At least it doesn't work for me or most people using Haxchi anyway.

As for Saviine, I never had any problems using Saviine. I use Saviine to dump my save, edit the save, then inject my save back to my WiiU using Saviine. Works every time, no issues what so ever.

You just need to learn how to use Saviine. Since I am very tech savvy, using Saviine is very easy to me. But some people may have problems. Because I use the Command Line to dump and inject my saves, I don't use the BAT Files, EXE, or the GUI Program.

I am also tech savvy, "TheTechGenius" lol. I'm a college student, so my Wii U and computer aren't connected through the same network. I could use a mobile hotspot, but that requires making sure my phone is charged and running it everytime, plus it eats through data. Using SaveMii is generally easier, I just want to diagnose if this is a problem with SaveMii or a problem with something else. I don't run haxchi, just boot homebrew through Loadiine. Because of that, I wanted to see if the other poster had a particular reason for switching between SaveMii and Saviine for dumping and editing.

Oh I didn't mean for it to sound like I was saying you are not tech savvy. What i meant by "You", I meant as in General, I meant to say people need to learn how to use Saviine at first, and some people just don't understand how to use it first.

I'm sorry if I came off as rude, that wasn't my intention.

Back to the topic.

Could you use the public/WAN IP of the console instead? I have never tried to use Saviine or SaveMii outside the local network before, so I don't have if that's even possible?

But yeah, you could setup a mobile hotspot, and that should be like connecting over a local network.

Also, I know with Saviine you have to inject ALL of the files that you originally dumped, even if you edit just one of those saves, you still need to inject ALL of the saves.

If you edit just one of the dumped saves, take note of the one you edited by looking at the screenshot. Then put that save in the inject folder along with ALL the other saves and files and inject to the console.

I know if you don't inject all the saves and files you got from the dump, the saves won't show up in-game.

i can't get this to work, i extract savegame with saviine 1.1b, the i load in the editor save_data.sav i tried with the one in the "0" folder and in the "5" folder, done some modif (beat all hinox, visit all places, ... ), then i reinject the modified savegame in the wiiu, but Nothing seem to work... need i to modify all 6 save_data.sav files?

You just have to modify the right one, what I did was change the image so when you try to load it it's easily identified, just use the inject.bat file and upon loading the game it'll inject that save.

Also a tip I would give anyone is to modify items rather than create them (weapons and shields) for other items it should be fine to add them.

Thank you :-)
Well... Unfortunately, I'm going to separate the savegame editors (the Zelda BOTW is getting too big and also the ajax loading was causing problems for a few users).
Indeed, all editors will be updated to the latest version asap. And a template will be uploaded too so anyone can create an editor.

Some credit would be nice, considering I not only started you on getting this working, but I helped you and sent you a donation.

Using saviine is very easy once you know how it works.
However SaveMii is way easier and faster (at least for dumping) as it doesn't need a PC and you don't have to launch the games you want to dump the saves for.
On the other hand injecting with SaveMii doesn't work for most users, especially with BotW so I didn't even try that.
I bought two Haxchi compatible DS games in the eShop. I set up one to launch Haxchi CFW (fastest firmware) which I use almost all the time and the other to launch Mocha CFW (way slower but supports SaveMii).
Once a CFW is booted there is no difference in installing and launching unsigned titles so if I'm about to use SaveMii I just launch Mocha instead of Haxchi and stay with that until I turn my Wii U off. :)

I hope this does not sound rude.

I had already planned to work on korok seeds hacking. It was, indeed, one of my goals with the editor, but I had to start with the more simple features.
It's true that you lost some time doing backups and finding a few offsets. Unfortunately, it ended being completely useless, because we could have never got to the desired result using a brute force method. You took another route which I never planned to take because it looked almost impossible to reach the goal. Still, I tried to take advantage of your contributions and try my luck.
The only real useful help came from the hash table datamining by MrCheeze, which allowed me add the korok unlocker in a few minutes without trouble.
Don't get me wrong, I appreaciate your collaboration of course. I'll add you to the credits.

Donations are... just donations. It's not a patreon where you get rewards.
I appreciate a donation, but I do not want users to feel they have right to demand new features nor appear in credits. I'd have coded the editor with or without donations.
Sorry, I can refund your donation if you feel ripped off.

@marc_max :
Since new update and first DLC pack is out, can you update your save editor with all new stuff ? (3 masks, 2 outfits, 1 amulet and the always maxed master sword)

Keep the good work dude :)

I'm still playing it lol
Yes, they'll be added :-)
It would be Possible Convert with your Save Editor
A Normal Save into a Hard Mode Save?
It's not impossible. But it could take some time. Hard mode has different enemies and treasures placements, so the savegame probably uses a slightly different hash table (haven't looked at it yet).
Can anyone post a hard mode savegame?

Hahah, I didn't mean to come off like a dick and I apologize if I did. I definitely don't want you to refund that donation, since it was strictly a donation and I wasn't expecting anything in return for it. I only posted that because I feel like while you ended up not being able to use what I gave you to actually figure out how to unlock the korok seeds, it appeared that you weren't even working on it until I contacted you and tried to help and the stuff I gave you may have set you on the right path.

Merely copying the save from a Normal Mode slot to a Hard Mode slot with Saviine works just fine. Upon opening the copied Normal Mode save in a Hard Mode slot, it becomes a Hard Mode save.

Edit: In other words, save files between the two modes are completely interchangeable using Saviine.

So it's possible to keep normal mode progression on hard mode ?
And is it possible to interchange saves with FTP ?
