You're so right. Everyone, stop talking and go pre-order this game regardless if you like it or not! It's third party support on the Switch, that's what matters!!delightful how ungrateful some people are when there getting at least some form of 3rd party support
maybe they will port another board game you like better if this sells well and this is there foot in the water to test if boards games are a good fit, I love monopoly personaly with my family so I'm gona get itYou're so right. like I said, this may just be a test to as how well board games on switch doNot ungrateful for the support, just saddened to see a zillionth iteration of the same game. The boardgame market has expanded and improved quite explosively the past 10 years, I just want a good boardgame on it so badly. The current ranking of Monopoly is 13,855 on Boardgamegeek. This actually means there are 13,854 better games out there. That is a lot.

every body hates et, but with monopoly me and my family have had a blast withIn that case it is like releasing ET to test how well an Atari VC would be received.
at least 6 player and has online f.y.i.inb4 up to 4 players no online.
If I wanted to play a board game, I'd play a board game.maybe they will port another board game you like better if this sells well and this is there foot in the water to test if boards games are a good fit, I love monopoly personaly with my family so I'm gona get it
Right on. Who cares about Mario Odyssey? Monopoly for Nintendo Switch is the real deal. And that's me convinced. Buying a Switch as we speak...
thing is, you can save a game real easy(at least in the streets version on wii) and continue later and setup is super easy, and a switch is more portable the monopoly the physical board game which you can have multiple games on a switch unlike a box that only has 1 game and is larger, also, ffs what is with pieces in board games getting lost, yet another reason it's better for at least my householdIf I wanted to play a board game, I'd play a board game.

...I guess I'm somehow just seeing things, this thread is the only place I've seen such absolute hate and discust towards monopoly...Not everybody hates ET; hundreds of fans lined up to witness the excavation. It is just that the critical reception is terrible, just like Monopoly.

I thought I had grown up and had some taste in games but I guess I'm just still some stupid kid somehow deriving joy from an aparently shitty and abismall game with in the way it's talked about is seens as deserving to be in a landfill with the likes of et...sorry
I suppose that explains it, when it comes to games I see boardgames as a place for simple fun times with monopoly and uno, and when I want a more complicated and tactical game bring on the fire emblem on a game system, game systems are were I go for more advanced games where as board games are just simple things for me casually done, hearing more on this, it sudo feels like how a street fighter player may look lower upon how casual smash bros in despite people enjoying it and finding some competition, although smash is a bit less random then monopoly unless your a game and watch judge spamerThat is probably because you either are only a casual boardgame player OR you dont move in a gbatemp boardgame equivalent community, or both. Nothing wrong with that. Either way, the bgg ranking shows that it deserves zero critical acclaim.
Nothing wrong with enjoying games. The reason people think it is shitty and abysmal is its extreme high dependency on luck (outcome of the die), instead of strategies applied by the player. Games that typically spend a long time in the top bgg20, like Power Grid and Puerto Rico, have zero dependency on luck; they have complete open information and outcome is dependent only on player choices.
Try a few youtube vids from dicetower containing the word 'monopoly'. If you consider this "absolute hate", then you'll lack words to describe what they're doing....I guess I'm somehow just seeing things, this thread is the only place I've seen such absolute hate and discust towards monopoly...
I even made a blog entry about it.
