Hacking VERY confused on how to play backups on my "New" 3DS XL ... Any Help??

Update: I realized I posted in the wrong section, so I deleted it. I had just woken up and thought this was the 3DS section. haha Honest mistake, but that is still no excuse for anyone to be rude, or insulting in the comments. You can communicate calmly and still be nice you know? lol Just cause I mistakably posted in the wrong section isnt the end of the world. :rofl2:

as far as i know there is no real way to play DS games through the 3ds micro sd card.. you will very likely need a flahscart for this mode..

edit: basically the 3ds part is taken cared off, just follow the guide and you will be able to install homebrew,cias roms etc...
as for DS games (ds mode) there has been some progress but not that big that you will be able to launch roms from the internal sd easily..

As I said, if I need a flashcart with it's own micro sd card to play DS/DSi and a micro sd card for the internals to play 3DS, that is 100% fine!

Basically if someone could write me out a tutorial on how to do what I want (idc if I need 2 micro sd cards) that would be amazing!

for DSI you only be able to play with DSIWARE titles, that part is alto taken cared on the 3ds part...
dsi roms there are just a few. dsi hybrid titles like pokemon, run in DS mode in the flashcart

Don't be rude!! <_< I noticed already what I needed to click on. I thought it was an add for DS's at first from the way it looked. I'm on a mobile phone so it looked weird.

Follow 3ds.guide to get CFW. If you're on 11.4 and don't have another hacked 3ds, or are unable to solder, you're screwed.

Even you know the difference between a 3ds and a Ds. This should be posted in the 3ds section. Follow 3ds.guide. If that's too hard for you, maybe you just shouldn't have CFW. 3ds.guide is what EVERYBODY uses. It's constantly updated, and is always up to date. Also, don't follow a Youtube tutorial. Chances are, it'll be a bad, out of date tutorial.

Oh.. wait.. so if I want to mod an 11.4 New 3DS XL I can't? What is the DS version that I should get? and like.. NEVER upgrade after I get it..
