Steam Summer Sale Now Live!

Paypal, and now Valve, have confirmed that the start of the always glorious summer sale on Steam will finally begin today, at 1PM EST (so, at the time of this posting, ~4 1/2 hours). No real deals have been posted thus far, but there's bound to be some good finds as always!

UPDATE: The Steam Summer Sale has now begun! The end date is July 5th, so be sure to check back for new deals!

So let us know what you're looking forward to hauling off with this summer sale!

Quick check before the store dies again and meh. Probably just grab snake pass and a few really old games I've been meaning to grab. Rabi-ribi is still just 30%, I guess the world will end if it ever goes lower.

Will look elsewhere for newer games, I miss the old sales. Prey is £25 on sale, it's been £25 + dlc for ages elsewhere. Bring back the flash and daily sales.

Basically: valve has enough server capacity for the average loads. Preparing for the peak moments is wasted money on all the other periods.

Just be patient...it'll get better before the end of the sale. Well before that.

FINALLY got what I wanted (they were offering me XCOM 2 and CIV 6 as a strategy goty bundle for $42). Every time I added it to my cart it would go back up to regular price. My wishlist keeps showing regular price for stuff that's on sale too.

can't they like rent more servers during the sale? maybe even remote ones and outsource the requests?
but i guess that«s a ton of work just for make the store working for the first few hours...
