Nice thank you will try later tonight
Works great on 3.0 however YouTube and other video sites it says feature isn't available so I'm assuming Nintendo may end up adding it in a later firmware as well as an actual browser SoundCloud also doesn't work as it requires flash.

I hope either nintendo officially add a browser that supports videos as well as flash, or they add a media player that supports dlna, upnp and then this will be awesome or it happens via homebrew when the switch gets fully hacked.

The user agent is now: Mozilla/5.0 (Nintendo Switch; WifiWebAuthApplet) AppleWebKit/601.6 (KHTML, like Gecko) NF/4.0.0.6.9 NintendoBrowser 5.1.0.14936

Also applet no longer crashes when trying to play video, instead gives error code 2809-1212 "This feature is not available".

I'm sorry for your confusion, I assumed everyone knew the cans and cannots of the DNS browser. Back in 2.0.0-2.3.0 you could watch youtube videos and most other videos but only using the fiddler method. Its fucking retarded they put extra work into disabling that on 3.0.0, I'm damn sure you can't find an exploit through playing videos so them doing that is only a kick in the nuts.

Nintendo has transformed into a bunch of scared developers that dont want to include any possible entrypoint. Its so stupid... They wont stop shit just fkin put in features already. Everyone wants YouTube and Netflix or whatever. smh

Actually, browserhax for the N3DS and Wii U used the stagefright exploit with a malformed MP4 "played" by their HTML 5 player.

How common is flash today? If adobe stopped supporting it on mobile devices, and websites like youtube don't even use it, then it has to be slowly fading right? I doubt it will be on a game console, I remember when it was on PSP, that was 2005, now is hardly talked about, even though New grounds website has every game spoof video made with flash Lol. :P

So can someone tell me why they would want to do this without any media support, I mean if i can maybe watch youtube, twitch or something okay, or least music playback. I guess is just useful for finding info and posting updates.

Well I think its a safe bet that the Switch will one day be getting the Youtube app along with the likes of Netflix, so it might make some sense in that regard. Though I do agree that its dumb of them to take out the availability to even use such a thing when the general public aren't even aware you can access a browser on the Switch, and that videos almost certainly wont enable an exploit.

It is just fucking baffling that they did this for the 3.0 update.
I mean, getting into the browser applet was enough of a cumbersome proceedure to do, and they had to go and fuck it up by removing HTML5 playback?
What the fuck, Nintendo?
What kind of stupid decision is this, what kind of company releases an update which removes features instead of adding them.

You really are asking for the console to get hacked, this won't stop shit, Nintendo, there's always webkit exploits.

Same thing I am thinking.
They are not only motivating people to do so, but almost aggravating people to the point of doing it just to fuck with Nintendo for their stupid decisions.
Heck if I had the knowledge, I'd do so just to fuck them up xD

Interesting, I thought maybe it could be possible but since I know nothing about this realm of the universe I thought it would be implausible.
