First off. If it stayed at 60 in canada. That would be only 45 in USD. 100 Canada is like 75 and change. It's a simple conversion with the tax implemented into it. Get over it.

No but if it is real then spread to your Canadian friends not to buy them and it will force them to reduce it. :grog: It is ridiculous, really.

Don't say "Get over it".. You are not in their shoes. Be nice. :)

It is pretty cool to have a shelf full of game cases on display though
Game cases too big for nothing, no manual, just the tiny cartridge.

PS: Your signature also says Hamon > Stand, this is a fucking insane coincidence.
Glad to see a Jojo fan on Temp, especially one with good taste

Not a Canadian so I don't have this issue, but why not just use the US eshop? sure you'd have to find a way to convert your CAD to USD but it seems easier that way. Sorry if this is ignorant, I just don't see an issue with using a different eshop

Don't think this is real, if Nintendo is telling me the price of fives games in the US is equivalent to a Switch console and Canadian customers only get fours games in that equation meanwhile games on Sony's platform are still $80 Canadian; I'll be done with the Switch and Nintendo regardless of what game they announce next (I'll be happy to jump boat and ride the Sony express).

You don't have to convert anything... you just upload the CAD equivalent of the US game you want to buy that's listed with USD onto your credit card and pay. No biggie.

It stings because a couple years ago we had parity with the USD (and even exceeded it a couple times). But now our dollar sunk like a lead balloon but our finances haven't changed to match that.

That being said, it should be a placeholder price, as Arms was bumped up and is now launched at $80.

Ah well it's a thing we EU citizens always have to deal with
Prices in the US are cheaper, why Console makers do this conversion:
For example:
- US $69 -> conversion for EU-> €69 or higher

Doesn't matter if the Euro is higher in value, but if it's lower then the price raises.

CDN$99.99 = $75.51 = €67.59 That's a bit expensive, almost as expensive as a PS4 game.
But thing is, nobody knows the actual price on the Canadian eShop...

There's only about two games that actually have a manual included. Binding of Isaac and Cave Story+, both of which you can only find if they're the US Launch Edition otherwise it's only game cartridge + case.

Funny thing, Switch has more games with manuals than the WiiU did. The only game on the WiiU that had a real manual was Shovel Knight and yeah, there were those semi-thick booklets but all they contained were info of instructions in different European languages.

Basic law of supply and demand. Nintendo is only charging as much as the customer is willing to pay. If the game doesn't sell at $100, price will decrease quickly enough.
