Recently I got a switch with firmware version 1.0.0 but I can't get it work with PegaSwith. I am sure I correctly setup PegaSwitch and every time I tried to connect to internet it didn't trigger captive portal page but only an error that told me connection failed. Any idea about this?

It does not work on 1.0.0. There is no webkit browser to exploit in that version.

AFAIK there aren't any carts with the 2.0.0 update. Some of the upcoming titles might, but don't hold your breath.

My switch is on 1.0.0, update ?
I would, any developers actually working with Switch are using 2.0.0 so you have more chance of updating to 2.3.0 and then an exploit coming for a recent fw than a release for 1.0.0 if you ask me.

It's not like homebrew is even round the corner yet anyway, if you where on 2.0.0 already I'd say stick there as no update has offered anything of worth since that but 1.0.0 is pointless.

Staying on oldest firmware always gives you most options, anything else is just fearmongering by those who already updated justifying their potential mistake.

Tell that to Wii U owners where to get the best homebrew capability, you need to update to later firmwares instead of old ones.

And the PS4 users, some of whom have not touched their console and not used online for years because they're still on an old firmware and there's been nothing practical for the end user.

This comparison is after the fact, once a usable exploit is out there you can make the decision.

Yes, PS4 research on firmware v1.76 using CTurt's playground, and later 4.xx ones by qwertyoruiop, still, lower gives you more options.

Normally I'd agree with this way of thinking.
However, since 1.0 doesn't has a web browser, it's very unlikely that we will be able to get userland acces on 1.0
So you will have to update at least once sooner or later.
ATM it isn't possible to do a manual update to 2.0 (or any other version).
If there isn't/won't come a way to manual update it means that when/if a public exploit comes available (which I won't expect until 2019 unless Nintendo f'd up somewhere) you'll have to update to the latest fw to get a web browser.
If you update now, you'll get 2.3 which is more likely to have an explation then the current fw when an exploit gets release.

The only reason to stay on 1.0 is if you expect a hardware mod.
Afaik there hasn't been a hw mod (on a home console) since 360/PS3.
