I read somwhere about a "friendseed generator" in progress

Used method 1 Yesterday but... if I get banned again it's gonna be a pain in the ass to get another friendseed (I don't trust public ones)

The public ones work fine, I use them instead of my unbanned one. If they ever get banned, I simply unban myself with mine until a new one pops up...

Just curious but do you people use the public friend codeonline? I had turned off my 3DS' wifi after unbanning with the seed and haven't went online since. Is it okay to go online now? Is Nintendo not banning anymote?

It was safe. We don't know if it is anymore or not, or if they've stopped banning people.

Yeah I think that some people may be working on a seed generator. Some people have even claimed that they know on how to gen seeds but they wont tell anybody how.

I'm calling bullshit as this would require Nintendo's private AES key to sign seeds. People are "generating" them by purchasing broken consoles, throwing their motherboards in the shell of a working console, and dumping the seed from there.

Except that when you do a system transfer the source 3ds/2ds gets a brand new seed. So if you have two spare systems (perhaps ones you unbricked with b9s and a hardmod?) then you can generate one new seed a week. That suggests that everything needed to generate a new seed is on the 3ds itself (though it is possible that Ninty's servers generate the new seed for you).

Not every time, and is actually quite rare. It's hard to reproduce, and seems to only work with systems that have never performed a format. I don't remember the exact process, but only a handful have actually been successful in reproducing this.

The source system, not the destination. Since the lfcs gets moved from from the source system to the destination system the source system would have to gets a new seed from somewhere otherwise both systems would have the same seed after the transfer and they don't.

The seed doesn't get transferred. This has been tried and tested numerous times. Both systems typically retain their seeds.

Is this what happens when you switch motherboards? Where exactly is the seed and other console info located? I've tried to look for an answer but never found it. I thought it would be the motherboard but from the way you state it that doesn't seem to be the case.

Sorry not sure where to ask this and am still new to this. I was banned with this wave. But my question is let's say I bought a brand new unmodded N3DS and called Nintendo to transfer the NNID linked from the banned N3DS to the brand new N3DS that I want to keep clean. I then decide to switch the banned N3DS motherboard with the unmodded clean N3DS motherboard. Would my NNID, unbanned LFCS, serial, etc. be linked to the unmodded motherboard? Therefore placing the unmodded motherboard in the banned 3DS casing would be still like using a brand new N3DS? It's mosty due to me not wanting to bother with transferring all of my banned N3DS 'special' case housings and the motherboard doesn't seem that difficult to get to.

If you're buying a new 3DS, why not just use that to play online with legit games, and play everyone else on your banned one...

Don't you think using a public seed could lead to another kind of ban?

Nintendo could ban the console id or the nnid of those who use the same seed...

You usually delete your NNID when changing the seed. Also, you can always just unban yourself again...

Yes exactly. Not so sure Nintendo would transfer your nnid because they refused to do it to me.

I thought that there where 3 different ways to get banned: Console ID, Seed and NNID...
Yes exactly but recently they only ban your seed.
