Hacking Install legit DS VC over a non legit one

Hi guys.
It is my understanding that those which registered a NNID before a certain date can download a legit copy of Brain training for free, that can then be used in order to load a cfw right after a coldboot.
Now, I can see the game in my eShop, but I have installed a non legit copy in the past and I cannot simply delete that and install the legit one.
How can I uninstall the non legit ticket so I can download the legit copy of the game from the eShop? Can someone point me in the right direction? I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, I was looking for a long time for a method to have coldboot cfw and never saw I could download that game.

at this point you're better off buying a different DS VC game and installing haxchi into it. if you delete the ticket you may not be able to redownload it, and I wouldn't mess with anything if you've already installed a non-legit version of it. Just be very careful when installing DS vc's because you can end up bricking yourself out if it tried to run a non-legit title on boot.

Honestly the $6 or whatever is totally worth the peace of mind IMO.

Hi Mark, thanks for your kind reply.
I know that would be the easy way out, but I didn't want to buy the game needed for cbhc when it first came out, now that the Wii U is kinda dead I'd rather try to find a workaround for the problem I wrote about in the OP.
It is just for a more comfortable experience in these final months before I sell the Wii U to buy a Switch, my console is already running Mocha and I just realized I could've used that game to install cbhc.
Isn't there some app like in the Wii days that can be useful for my purpose? I know that could prevent me to download even the legit copy but I would like to give it a shot, just for the heck of it.
Otherwise I'll just stick with Mocha and browserhax.

each ticket will start with the hex sequence 00 01 00 04 , so u can tell when a new ticket starts in the .tik files. I'd advise that u start with tik2sd to get a list of all tickets installed, which tik they're installed at, and at which hex address they begin at. it's not difficult to uninstall a fake ticket as long as u can use a hex editor. I've personally only done it twice, so my mind is a little hazy.

I did it. I've deleted the fake .tik with my smartphone via ftp and installed cbhc. It's working like a charm.

I sure hope you tested it with haxchi first before installing cbhc.

If you're using CBHC, please read my guide and follow step 3! Get a full nand backup just in case. It's okay to get it after CBHC is installed. There's a fixer tool to take it out of your backup
