Hardware Where are all the third-party Switch accessories?

I can't even find a NYKO-branded anything for the Switch, and that's fucking SAD! Surely third party accessory makers get console specs and dimensions before the system is released, so I just have to ask where they are. (Cheaper Joycons, cheaper power brick, cheaper docks, etc.) I realize MadCatz dipped out like the fucktards they are, so they're out of the game... And I don't know what ever happened to Pelican Accessories, are they dead too?

All I see in my Walmart (and surrounding stores in my ares) are Nintendo-branded official merchandise. The console has been out over two months now, so what gives?

Sorry, I wasn't meaning online. People can easily scam one thing as another, like cellphone chargers that supposedly work on the switch, yet don't provide the 15 volts it needs to charge while playing it docked.

I will say I'm also surprised though, not even any Gamestop/EB Games-specific accessories for it yet. Probably as more games come out, after E3.

The best solution is to get a 8 Bitdo controller if SF2 on Switch is your thing.

Give it time. It took years before we got third-party wiimotes, and Joycons have the added requirement of connecting to the Switch WITHOUT falling off or breaking it.

But yeah i really want a fucking travel dock.

At least a couple third-party accessory makers have recently gone bankrupt, it's not such a booming market for any console these days.

Shittier and CHEAPER, yes. Everything for the switch seems to have a +$20 "Switch Tax" on it, and costs too much. A power brick shouldn't be $30, but $10. A set of Joycons should be $60, not $80, etc.

even honestly looking at the 8bitdo thing... we really didn't even have a 3rd party controller until they super recently added support to a pre existing product. Wasn't a newly designed 3rd party controller for the switch. Still super cool they added it; I don't even have the controller and still think it's cool!

NES30 Pro looks to be the best combination of retro and modern for use on the Switch. Just wish it was $20-$30 than $40+.

That switch tax is at least partially because of the additional technology in it that other consoles' $60 controllers don't have.
