Seconding that. By now, SafeB9SInstaller and boot9strap had > 20,000 downloads each. We had zero reports about bricks, and @Plailect didn't have any either.

If you think you legitimately bricked using SafeB9SInstaller or boot9strap (you're most likely wrong), contact us (pm, for example is okay). @Lia - maybe you can add a note with our contact details to the op? Also, to be fair, you could add @derrek, too.
Sorry, temp stopped giving me notifications for this thread? Adding that now.

Went through the process earlier today, some steps were unclear to me so i had a little help on the discord but all in all it was pretty smooth sailing. Everything seems to work fine.

Got 2 European consoles at 11.4 CFW, both are updated to B9S (were at A9LH) with the 3ds.guide tutorial.
Both working perfectly.

Updated from A9LH to Boot9Strap.
Complete success.
Quick question: what does boot9strap do exactly?
QUOTED FROM 3DS.GUIDE:
"boot9strap is the newest and best method of launching Custom Firmware that gives us nearly full control of the system only milliseconds into boot, which is similar to the effect of BootMii for the Wii. It gives us even earlier control than arm9loaderhax did, and, unlike standard sighax, boot9strap uses an NDMA overwrite exploit in order to gain Boot9 code execution. This means that any console running boot9strap is capable of dumping the console unique OTP (OTP.bin), the ARM11 bootrom (boot11.bin), and the ARM9 bootrom (boot9.bin)."

Installed b9s on a brand new N3DSXL on 11.3. Extremely easy, took like 5 minutes.

I remember when we had the first CFW breakthrough and it took like 3 days for me to get the downgrade app to work and install a CFW from there. It's stupid easy now as long as you're not on 11.4 lol

A 2DS from stock to B9S
A 3DS XL from A9LH to B9S
A New3DS XL from A9LH to B9S

Last time I tried to install a cfw, I softbricked and ended up on 11.2 where it was (at that time) over for me. That was, I'm almost entirely sure, user error. I must've glossed over something along the way. Over the weekend, I found the guide, and made sure to follow each step fully, and it was super easy to get done. Loving everything so far.

I just had to switch from ah9l to b9s. I had no problems doing so on my N3DS XL (EU).
Couldn't be any happier right now.

But seriously, where can I find the secret_sector.bin file? I need it to update but the guide I'm using (https://3ds.guide/updating-b9s.html) has no mention of it whatsoever.
You only need it if you are updating from a9lh to b9s with an N3DS. All other situations (including updating b9s versions, as per your link) don't need it.
