Picked up a USA N64, but I have questions.

I have a N64, didn't have wires, or controllers.
(Well, I have them now, thanks to EBay!)
But I also got the original Animal Forest.
I know about the mod to play Japanese games, but I need to know one thing.
Does animal forest work on an American N64 with the mod?
Or will I get a blank screen?
It'll take a few weeks until I actually get the game, so I cannot test it yet.

From what I could see, it's a easy mod to do.

Edit: my bad for misreading. I would assume that all ntsc games will work that way.

Alright. I already know how to mod it.
I figured rather than modding it, I'll take the back plastic from a crappy n64 game and swap it with Animal Forests back cover.
So that I don't break anything, and it still looks nice.

You probably know already, but the SNES's AV cables will work with the N64. I didn't find this out until I bought a SNES, and it's made things much more convenient than I anticipated.

For short term use, the entire shield can be removed intact and set aside. It does not need modding.

Gameshark is shaped to fit all consoles or games. Relatively easy option with the benefit of cheat codes.

I used my GameCube video cable.

So, basically, I can play the game safely without the "This game is not designed for use with your system." error?

Yes. Most games across USA, Japan, Brazil, Korea, etc, treat NTSC consoles as identical.
The Brazilian model is slightly altered for PALM.
