I'm new to 3DS hacking. Started following this guide https://3ds.guide/finalizing-setup and stuck on this step

Section VIII - CTRNAND Luma3DS

    • Navigate to [1:] SYSNAND CTRNAND
    • Press (Y) to paste a copy of boot.firm
    • Select “Copy path(s)”
    • Press (A) to unlock SysNAND (lvl1) writing, then input the key combo given
All the past times said key combo and SysNAND appeared, but this time only the sysnand appeared once and when i pressed A no key combo.

When i press A on the boot.firm it just opens a menu where its says

1:/boot.firm
FIRM image options...
Show in Hexeditor
Calulate Sha-256
Copy to 0:/gm9out

A select B cancel

What I am doing wrong? I double checked all steps and I have done everything right.

Please help T_T

I realize this might sound a bit obvious (and probably more rude than I mean it to be), but you do see that it says press (Y) on boot.firm and not press (A) on boot.firm right?
Yes I've pressed Y to copy it, and after copy paths and boot.firm is therefore on the SYSNAND CTRNAND, the step Im stuck on is
  • Press (A) to unlock SysNAND (lvl1) writing, then input the key combo given

So let me get this straight, you have copied boot.firm to the SYSNAND CTRNAND and it is there now? Doesn't that mean you have already done the key combo step?

It did not asked me for the key combo, just for the message of pressing A. Should I continue to follow the guide then?

Well, I would say you can do one of two things.
Option 1: Delete the boot.firm from the SYSNAND and copy it again. (So basically redo the last couple steps.)
or
Option 2: Check to make sure that the boot.firm is indeed there and hope to whichever deity you have chosen to believe in that all is well and continue with the next step as if nothing strange happened.

I would personally go with option 1, but its up to you.

If you've got a copy of boot.firm on 1:SYSNAND CTRLNAND, you're done. Sounds like you're pressing 'A' on it afterward.

Yay! Everything went good. Currently playing FE: Valentia n.n

Can I use online functions with this hack? Like if I want to trade Pokemon or anything like that?
