Monster Hunter XX heading to the Nintendo Switch (Japan)

For those that have been wanting a Monster Hunter title to be released for the Switch, Capcom is granting your wishes, as they've just announced Monster Hunter XX, for the Nintendo Switch. According to the announcement, this is going to be an enhanced version of what the west knows as Monster Hunter Generations, which released last year initially for the Nintendo 3DS. There's no word of a localization, but Capcom is planning to reveal more details during Monster Hunter Championship 2017, which will take place on May 27th.

Oh yeah, because I can't wait to play a game with bushes and shrubs for text. No thanks, I'm good - I'll play on the 3DS until there's a localisation.
Maybe, fingers crossed, most japanese Switch games includes the English option, Ultra Street Fighter II has that option.

Anyway at E3 I think they will announce the title will come to the west for this year. This will be huge in Japan though, Switch is nowhere to be found there, whatever stock they have is sold out, Splatoon 2 will make it worse, then Monster hunter....possible Pokemon Stars....Nintendo needs to ramp up more production. Going to be a bloodbath. ;)

I hope this game has an English option with it. (Turning the game into English when the system's language is English, like Disgaea 5.)

Monster Hunter historically uses a custom font, even releases on Region Free consoles never had an English option, so don't count on it.

I was prepare my self to buy the Switch when Splatoon2 come out, just becouse i like the multiplayer aspect but it was not, for me, a major reason to buy the system, but finaly i guess i made a right chooice to buy this console. I cant wait for my birthday.

This is definitely edging further into :tinfoil: territory, but, man, the timing is suspicious; Nintendo bans a ton of people from 3DS online services, which a large amount of people use solely to play Monster Hunter, and then the very next day, Capcom announces MHXX for Switch.

I'm betting that the application that helps transfer data between the two versions requires an internet connection.

Sorta feels like Capcom did this in a hurry after the mistranslation became popular. Still, good on them. :)

I tried MH3U on the Wii U and didn't like it but if there's a demo for MHXX on the Switch I'll give it a try.

I've played XX for the last 2 months and it's so good, and God the switch version will be so much better, hopefully a framerate enhancement too.

I haven't even finished playing MH Generations now this. This is going to be huge in Japan. Monster Hunter XX for the Nintendo Switch is a proof-of-concept for Nintendo. Putting out a Monster Hunter game for a portable console is a no-brainer for Capcom making the Nintendo Switch the only system that they can develop Monster Hunter for portables at this time. The added value there is the option to play the latest game in the Monster Hunter series on a big screen.

From what I saw in the trailer, the save data can be shared between the 3DS version and Switch version, as well as multiplayer between the two consoles.
