Arena ran on the first time with rpx!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good job quark, as far as im concerned you can claim that money

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

are usb keyboards usable?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

If anybody wants to try arena its free on the elderscrolls web site, its an installer, so just point it to your sd anywhere you want to put it and run the bat file inside the arena folder through the rpx version of dosbox.

Are all current builds stable with XMB? I'm using the nightly 2017-05-25_RetroArch_rpx.7z build and have run into the following issues:

- Retroarch Launcher (Channel) that was posted somewhere within this thread no longer works. I simply get a black screen and background music. Forcing me to reset the console

- Online core updater - Freezes when updating cores. It just stopped at 83% on the Genesis core

Unsure if this is solely a build issue, a combination of the build with XMB or something on my end. Re Retroarch Launcher, it worked fine with previous builds.

@wicksand420 I'm pretty sure @brienj added USB keyboard support a while ago, though I'm not sure how it works in terms of cores. I suspect you may be able to change the emulated controller from a RetroPad to a keyboard of some kind?

If someone could let me know what's going on with the HBL ELF, that'd be awesome. No reason they should act differently, but @pedro702's report has got me holding off on merging in my changes.

Also: I worked a bit on Hatari and it turns out there's some actual porting work required in the form of SDL_thread.h (search for "GEKKO"); so I'll consider that a low priority core so I can keep up my momentum up. I'll come back to it later. Does that mean c64 is next?

Game and watch should be an easy one I think. If that's ok with everyone else. Thanks

Since the XMB driver was added there is on screen keyboard support (of sorts) but it doesn't display correctly (it displays the letters but not the background) :(
perhaps that could be used with the Computer Cores instead of using usb Keyboards?

YES! please do the C64 Core next.. That was my Core of choice :) but like @Columbo2811 said Game and Watch should be easy like the Stella Core :)

Edit:
@QuarkTheAwesome +1 on getting a blackscreen after loading Dosbox ELF..

So we do have Dosbox now? Can it be downloaded via core updater?

You don't have it if you haven't downloaded it. However, I do have it now.

So I tested with Fighting Street. Both cores load it normally. (Pce fast and Supergrafx). Using Pce Fast on playlist, it hangs black screen and doesn't freeze just doesn't load (I can hit home button to bring back up the retroarch menu).......but does lock up on Supergrafx as the playlist(have to go hold power on console to turn off console).

In my case I'm using the wup channel, loading a PCE ISO via playlist crashes RA, and it outright breaks RA completely (channel automatically crashes upon opening) until I wipe out the RA config and reconfigure from scratch. This makes testing really obnoxious because it's a lot worse than a DSI error where you can just power off the system and gamepad with the power buttons, it completely breaks the overall install, I see the same thing whether I'm specifying a BIN or a CUE file in the playlist.

I also would love Commodore 64 next and then after that if someone could get the Neogeo Pocket emu working that would be awsome and I would then have all the emus I want. Well apart from a CDI emulator so as I can play again the horrors that were the three Zelda games and the awfulness of hotel Mario lol. Such a bad machine yet it has one of my all time favourite games on it burn cycle blew my mind (yes if you have played the game you might get that comment lol) when it first came out.

Hrm, okay. In that case, I'll hold off on pushing the code changes for Dosbox until I can debug the HBL stuff on-console.

I took a peek at the C64 emu, however, and it looks like that should be doable without a test system; mostly just makefile tweaks (assuming the Wii build works). I'll give it a shot tommorow.
