Bad news, got the error again.
I'm now starting to think it is NTR doing it.
I realized it may not have happened over the many months because I seldom use NTR. I just used it the other day to see how NTR streaming was coming along. This is getting real frustrating :glare:

I think it happens with NTR freezes up the system and I need to hold down the power button to restart the 3DS, I'll see if I can get it to freeze up as my 3DS fixed itself for some reason again (over many reboots)

I really doubt that it is a software problem. If it was, we'd have seen this issue before, and it would always happen, not just somtimes. Either the microSD card has faulty contacts, or something is wrong with the N3DS' SD reader. If you have another console, try the SD card in it, and if you have another SD card, try it in your console.

That's true. Maybe it's a fault with my console.. I have a 2DS as well, but I still can't reproduce the problem on purpose so I don't know how I would test the card. I don't have any other microSD cards big enough to copy the contents (or even just the Nintendo 3DS folder) of my current one to another to try if I tried that. I suppose I'm stuck until I can get another large enough mSD? Or are you saying put in a blank microSD and do what? (genuinely asking not criticizing if it comes off that way)

I was thinking, make a backup of your card and then use the microSD with an adapter in your 2DS for a while. If nothing happens in a certain amount of time, say 2 months, you can be reasonably sure that it's not the SD card's fault. It would be better if you had a spare card you could use in your current console though, to be more sure it isn't your current console (or maybe confirm it). If you get a spare card that isn't very big you could just back up your save games of what you are currently playing and just install those games, and restore the saves. So you can keep playing.

I suppose I'll have to get another microSD (at least that wouldn't be a complete waste) at least 64GB in size, since I still want to use my N3DS and I let my younger sister use the 2DS. Meanwhile I can see if I can reproduce the issue, though I don't really want to since it's such a pain to fix.
