I never noticed any lag. I played SSB4 with it and didn't feel like the controller was holding me back in any way besides the small size, even that didn't really affect me enough that it made me want to use a different controller.
That's pretty cool, I wouldn't want to play Mario Kart without an analog stick myself, MKDS had pretty poor controls although playable. And don't even get me started on the SNES/GBA entries

It works on my Wii (I don't own a Wii U) in Wii games and Nintendon't games but with a few caveats:
It seems like there is no Wii/Wii U version of the newer firmwares, only the old 1.71 firmware has Wii U/Retron5/P$ compatibility. I will be sticking to 1.71 for the time being as I use it sometimes on Wii U and I can just use the Joy-Cons on my Switch anyway.
