Thanks for the link, I read it a bit more in depth and from what I gather I need to write a save file corresponding to the N3DS 11.4 payload to the cart. However, such a file doesn't exist since the save images were last updated in January. Am I missing something? Sorry for troubling you, but I do appreciate it.
Honestly I don't know. When you're installing it, it says it's downloading something. So I figure it gets it from somewhere. Seems to work on 11.4, but I have CFW already so not 100% sure if it would work on OFW. I don't think you can install it on 11.4. You need lower firmware to install it. I have a 9.2.0 EmuNAND for stuff like this. You can always use PowerSave to install it too.
Oh okay!! I'm supposed to use the oothax installer to get the right payload and not inject a save (since the correct save file is not available as of yet). Only problem now is that the homebrew starter kit doesn't seem to have oothax installer anymore (just ironhax), but I'll try to track it down somewhere. Thanks!
Didn't realize I had to edit the XML file to turn the ironhax installer into the oothax installer. Works now!
Thanks. Yeah I downloaded the starter several times but it only had ironhax, though it did have the sdmh file for the above hax. Turns out that the installer's XML file was set to only load ironhax, but I edited with the OoT ID and tried again and it worked. Not sure why I had to do it either, but whatever lol. Now OoT has the 11.4 payload but I can't get the homebrew launcher working, but I'll just try that part later. Thanks for all of your help tonight!
One question: Why don't you install b9s?
With this you have access to all howebrew apps and things on the latest firmware.
When you own a secound console with 9.2 installed it's very very easy to set it up and there is nearly 0% risk of bricking your console.
Just look at http://3ds.guide for instruktions hiw to set it up.

Hello! Since you installed the newest payload to the OOTHax cartridge, is it possible to insert the cartridge back into powersaves, make a backup, and link the backup for others to use on their cartridge for 11.4?
I don't see why not. I'm not personally signed up for file sharing sites like GitHub, so don't wait up on a save from me. That said, I'm sure if someone can make a backup on PowerSaves, they should be able to share it.
In that case, just remember to make a backup of your normal save.
For example, I copy the weird gibberish that titles my normal save file, then rename it "Bill's OOT Save." I then paste that gibberish on the OOTHax Save. If I want my old save, I do the same thing, but instead name the OOTHax Save, "New 3DS OOTHax." This makes it easier for me to swap which save PowerSaves will access when I open it.
Bro, as of right now your a god to me, i went and purchased a new 3ds xl from ebay, zelda oot 3d new at a store, got amzon prime to deliver "powersaves pro" and 32gb micro sd card.only for this not to work for me.

Hey friend, sorry I took so long to see this (don't come here that often). I'm about to leave for school, but if I recall, you need to copy/paste the contents of the oot xml file into xml file of the sploitinstaller or whatever it's called. I'll double check around 2 pm PST when I get home.
Alright I tried to send a PM but I guess one needs 10 posts to do that (which I don't have lol). Anyway, in the "install" folder in the starer kit, open up the .xml in textpad or some text editing software. In the part between <targets selectable="false"> and </targets>, delete what's written and paste the following:

save, and that's all. Put it on the SD and navigate to sploit installer on the homebrew channel. I believe it still shows the ironhax photo, but it'll be oothax.
I actually came across this thread while looking for one for my sister, so I know that a lot of people are looking for a save to work on 11.4. I could host it on github if you'd be willing to send me a copy of it.

I was wondering if anyone ever hosted the working save on github?? i updated thinking OOT would still work on 11.4, because the payloads were released and the homebrew wiki said it still worked, but obviously its not
