002-0102 is permaban and don't think it can be undone.

welcome to the perma-ban club!

I got a 002-0102 error in December of last year, and it only lasted 30 days. But yes it can be permanent, certainly was for the playing of Pokemon leaks. I got the 002-0102 just a couple hours ago, I'm not sure why, have to try and call Nintendo CS about this. Maybe trading illegal shinies, namely Keldeo, can't think of any other reason.

They don't throw that ban out for hacked save data, Pokemon specifically only blocks you from using the PGL. I trade Shiny Celebi, Keldeo, Victini etc like crazy not to mention have a fully completed DEX and Marshadow in my Pokebank (Along with a Shiny Celebi)..... I'd guess it's something else man.

I know about the PGL stuff, my Moon never game synced, just speculating. That's the only unusual thing I did last week leading up to this Monday.

Just trying to help you figure it out. I don't think there have been any confirmed cases of people getting 002 bans from using PkHeX or similar. Only PGL bans. I'm banned from Gamesync myself, from using hacked data but I only wonder trade anyway Lol. Just saying it's a stretch that Pokemon save editing caused it.

And you're in NA, so you played an unreleased game online, that's common sense dude. The only way to unban yourself is to get a fresh LFCS from a donor 3DS, and that one needs to be hacked too. Otherwise, it's permanent.

When they say "unreleased" they mean for your region. If it hasn't come out where you live, then it's unreleased.
We would get banned even if we used luma?
I mean, luma doesnt do something to allow u play out of region games? idk the truth behind dis

On your situation, it's because you went online on Monster Hunter. The ban policy depend on the Editor, I played online multiple games outside of my region (they had the status unreleased for my region) and never got ban for it.
BUT Monster Hunter is known for this kind of ban already, people got banned on MGX, probably MG4 too and now MGXX. People never learn.

Also OP, since you were already de-banned, that mean you wasted a seed. Dunno if your friend will be able to unban you again.

Luma doesn't hide your NNID when you go online. NNID linked on another region compared to the game? Get banned.

Using Luma won't get you banned, NO.

Um it does allow region free, yes but that doesn't mean you can play games that aren't released in your region and get online in them. They will physically play, yes but the user should wait until official release or turn wi-fi off when using it. Common sense, especially if you've been banned before.

Damn, didn't read the code I had but trying to use Puyo-puyo for local multiplayer before the menus' were translated I accidentally tried the online service...

To clarify; since I don't have any consoles above 11.2 would I have gotten the error due to not up-to-date system before actually being banned? Then not updating might have saved me.

There were some users who went online on S&M but didn't interacted anything with others that weren't banned. However, In your case, the console couldn't connect to online services due to an outdated system. So, technically, you didn't connected online

Just because your friend didn't get banned doesn't mean it won't happen eventually unless he's using a region swapped EMU or something. Games that are only available to one region know when pinged by servers on units from outside that region. It's been common knowledge around here that going online in out of region games is risky unless the game is region free, which is usually not the case with JPN only releases. That and using English patches on JPN only games using a CIA can also get you banned. A quick google search will confirm both.

Seriously, if you don't want to get banned don't cheat online, don't play out of region games online, don't patch out of region games to play online and don't post hacks to Miiverse. Just because a few people say, "I did THIS and I'm not banned!" it's at your own risk to do the same. Some people survive falling off a cliff, does that mean you should jump?

Monster Hunter isn't known for bans, people ran around online with 20k status weapons and didn't get banned.
Hacked Guild Quests where the monster doesn't move, 1 hit kills, custom quests, you name it. I have not heard of or encountered anyone who has been banned by Capcom in MH games, do you have any links about MH bans?

Did you even try to use google? There are only 413,000 results...... All over r/3DShacks, Gamerequest, Capcom.com, Kodatu, etc etc.....

Again, I would love to see any links or proof that MH actually caused the bans and not other games. Feel free to prove me wrong, I'll wait.

Wow I ask for some help on a website that is for 3ds modding and get a bunch of assholes giving me shit. Real helpful
No you got a bunch of people telling you why you got banned, and several people even gave you possible solutions. But no one gave you an answer you liked, so they're all bullies.
No one is obligated to help you, and you're just being entitled.

Lol I'm not doing the work for you. If it's that serious google it yourself. Sorry but the burden of proof lies on the one questioning the validity, not the one being questioned. You must prove me wrong, not the other way around.

I don't buy you getting banned for playing MHXX online. It may have to do with altered files.. Y'know? The English patch.

That's some lazy thinking you've got there. There have been literally no reports until now of being banned for playing a Japanese game (Especially Monster Hunter) on a US console online.. So, why would they start now?

Cute, the denial is strong with you. You're the one spreading rumors of how people get banned in MH.

I didn't spread rumors. Anyone with a lick of common sense that uses these hacks knows cheating online/playing out of region games online can result in a ban. Period. You're the one denying the fact that it can and does happen. I'm not obligated to provide proof of common knowledge. Water is wet, would you like a glass to see for yourself?
