Hi, i'm Kinda lost,

I tried this evening to flash my 3dsl, using a french tutorial -> http://www.generation-game.com/tuto...ustom-firmware-luma-et-restaurer-sa-nand-3ds/

At that point, i had no idea how complicated it could become.

So i followed the instruction, until i got to the point to Run GodMod9 by pressing power+start, which returned me the FaileD to mount CTRNAND

I panicked a bit because it was not supposed to happen in the step of the tutorial. So I looked deeper, and found a way to force the Godmod by renaming it as "arm9loaderhax_si.bin" and then replacing the backup Of my SysNand I made earlier.

And i dont really know how i ended up completing the installation and i have now the 3ds booting correctly, but i still can't manage to get GodMod to work in order to inject FBI.cia.

I would like to know if its possible to completly reset the 3ds, like a factory reset, so i could try the official tutorial and get a clean installation.

Or if this is not possible, is there another way to install .cia files from the homebrew launcher i can acces from soundhax ?

Thank you for reading and excuse my mistakes.
Go here https://3ds.guide/fr_FR/index.html

Since it sounds like you have a9lh already, follow the section for updating to Boot9Strap.

you can just start with https://3ds.guide - don't update before doing it or you'll make it harder to set up cfw/homebrew. no need to format anything.

Yeah I was looking at that, I done the sound hax on my old 3ds xl before on 1.1.2 fw. Should I update the fw afterward or stay on 1.1.2? Also I think I might need a new sd card, I am currently using a 16g microsd, how do I transfer all that stuffs over to new sdcard?

There's a lot more to it than just SoundHax - make sure to go to the next page!

I successfully followed every single step in the entire guide.

As a test, I downloaded Donkey Kong 1 (for 3DS - SNES VC) from Wii U USB Helper, converted it to .CIA, installed the .CIA with FBI app. But when I unwrapped the tile, the game just hangs on Nintendo 3DS screen. What do I have to do now?

Did you update to 11.4? Are you on an N3DS?

Are you on an N3DS?

Just another quick question, if I may.

I did the entire guide on a 4gb Micro SD Card, deleted the unnecessary files as per the instructions at the end of the guide. But now, am I alright to copy over everything over to a 32gb card? And pick up where I left off?

On the godmode usage of 3dsguide it says that when I backup my NAND, it should be called nand.bin. Mine is nand.bin.sha. What is the difference? Sorey if this sounds like a dumb question.

Yep, as long as you never had an emuNAND.

The sha file helps to determine if the NAND file is corrupted. It's not the backup itself. You should have another file that's 1-2GB in size called NAND.bin or similar.

It is just named NAND. There is no .bin after

Hey everyone, i just wanted to make sure. Now I already have a NAND backup from doing plailects guide, but is it okay to make another when I'm already updated on 11.4 and with the new boot9strap and luma?

Quick question if I delete a title from within FBI does it also delete all DLC ?
No. Otherwise, people who also use cartridges would have problems. Same goes for how Nintendo officially let's you remove software.
Basically DLC and Updates have different Title ID.

Sure. Hell, you could make NAND backups every hour//day//week if you wanted to.

Awesome thanks for reply, I thought maybe having the one during the guide, and backing up one after should be fine, and definitely save me from any potential threats of bricking in the future :)

I'd just rather be safe than sorry xD
