What the fuck are you on about lol both mocha and haxchi/cold boot haxchi are region free. I have been using mocha for months to play jap and usa games on my euro wiiu.

Yeah...you must be insane...both CBHC and Mocha are region free, you can check for yourself. I use both, CBHC for Nand, and coldboot, and mocha for rednand/Fshax. Then I added this into it for the hell of it. The only hbl app that does it is spiik and that does one at a time, not all like this. They couldn't do anything other than exit games without closing, making the game saves, and or games corrupted causing a system corruption in the nand. That's the only way to brick having it stock, and you can't with regionhax unless you edit the value wrong, or change something you shouldn't.

Its definitely not region free unless there has been a revision to 1.6 I'm not aware of. What are you people smoking?

Bypassing the region check, and being "REGION FREE" are two different things, but the custom here is to apply the term REGION FREE to the act of bypassing the system's region check. You need to pass or bypass the region check before the game will start. With either 'CFW', the region check is bypassed with a forced positive result. With this 'hack', the region check will pass because AND'ing the region value of the game with the value that you changed here (game_region) results in the game's region.

Neither method does anything more than make the region check pass. Neither will prevent a game from crashing if it generates file names or makes assumptions from the console region, since the console region isn't changed by either method.

In other words, if you understand what's going on, you'll understand that there's no sense to trying this method if you've already tried Mocha or Haxchi.

By the way, the terms of your bet are not mutually exclusive and are therefore very much in the other people's favor. You would have to specify a particular game. Otherwise, the people you challenged only need to find one Japanese version game that runs on your console to win your equipment, and all you'll get out of it is two games that you'll no longer have the equipment to run on. Be smart and back down now.

They are so sure of themselves that CBHC makes the Wii U region free. If they are that confident in themselves about their beliefs then they should take the bet. Are you asking to get involved in this bet too? I'm willing to put up if you are too.

The fact that they havent even responded back to the topic since I declared the bet proves they were full of shit or too chicken to prove me wrong.

I already told you how it works, and that the people on GBAtemp.net refer to bypassing the region check as "region free". I do, however, understand that there is a difference between the system being willing to start an out-of-region title (region check bypassed), and the title running properly no matter what region the console or title is (region free). I'm glad you like wasting time. A picture doesnt prove anything, it doesnt tell me your Wii U firmware and region, what custom firmware you are running and the game version you are playing. If you want to quit dicking around actually get that together on video, any kid with an iphone 7 and MSpaint could of made what you did.

Literally the maker of CBHC says it is region free, it's in the description for CBHC, and I have played out of region free games. I played a JPN game on a US console. Mocha same thing, the only difference is no coldboot, but it runs iosuhax which is better.

You can play out of region games on a wii u with just haxchi even. And as CBHC is just haxchi from coldboot it works too. I'm in europe on a EUR console and can play US games just fine. Why are being you this thick about it?

I'm willing to create a legal agreement, have my lawyer check over it (yes I have a lawyer), print it, sign it, scan and post it. You guys sign it and then I'll provide evidence of you and everyone else being wrong. If I'm wrong I'll give you each my systems as per agreement, but I also expect you guys to hold your end of the bargain too and each get me a brand new Wii U game or Switch game of my choice.

I've been wanting to play 1-2 Switch and it would be sweet if someone else paid for my copy. So do we have a deal?

Literally just gave you proof that they are indeed region free, and I have expirence with it, it is a fact that region free is for both CFW CBHC, Mocha, and regionhax. The definition of region free is this - a player that can play any game/DVD of any region, hence region lock, hence region free. So in that theory I can do it with both of these hacks, digital, or with disc. I have done it with both, both work. That's like saying putting a xeno gc mod chip in a GameCube doesn't make it region free, or hacking the Wii with hbl, bootmii 2, and priiloader doesn't make it region free, that's like saying using luma on 3ds does not make the 3ds region free. They all do, you have been proven wrong, and if you do not actually believe me do research, test it out, I don't care. I tried to give you an explanation on why someone would remove it, and how regionhax worked. You didn't believe me then, and you won't believe me now, despite many people telling you otherwise. There is no more argument here, either you are mentally insane, or you are a huge troll that needs to grow up.
