ok, seems the patch worked for me at least, not sure to what extent local multiplayer is translated but hopefully I can tell what game modes there are more easily

The multiplayer menu is mostly translated. I haven't been able to test local 4 player at all, so there could potentially be errors there.

May you tell me how do you work? I mean how to do you extract the .narc files, how do you find for strings and how do you replace them. Really wanna try and maybe do some PR's :)

I use either the kiwi.ds editor or PuyoTools to unpack the .narc files. Then I'll use CTPK Tool to extract various graphics from the .ctpk files found in the .narc files.

As of now, the main thing I need assistance with is finding/extracting the non-graphical text from the .MTX files.

Also for those interested, I uploaded v0.22 of the translation to GitHub the other day.

As for multiplayer neither of the online menus or local play menus are translated! I am using the last v0.22

enough is translated to get the gist but I wish I could download play it to my friends :/
still, what's translated is about enough to understand what is absolutely necessary

Yes, as much as I'd love a full translation, I appreciate every little step. Now that the game is launching on PS4 and Switch in EU and USA perhaps this project can get what it needs.

Please let us help ongo and finish this.

I saw the project, tried it, and I have to say, you're so far doing a fantastic job!!
One question that I have though is regarding its assets. Will you eventually use the English release's official assets, like its fonts and art, or leave it like that?
And yes, also, any plans to replace the audio once access to the English release's audio is possible?

Thank's. I'm actually in the process of editing and replacing all the graphical text thats been translated so far with a new font. It's very similar to the official localization and I think it looks much better than before.

I don't really have interest in replacing the audio as it would be far too much effort since we can't currently access the data on PS4 or Switch games.

Also this would be a good time to mention that thanks to @DarkSynopsis we now have the ability to edit all the non-graphical text! He's also translated a ton of that text, including the first two chapters of the "Adventure" mode. I haven't pushed a new update, but if you ever want the latest "version" of the translation you can always just re-download the "Translated Files" folder from GitHub whenever there are new commits.

Looks like the audio files are .bcstm which is what Themes use for there music? so the tools to replace the voices should be there but without access to the files from PS4/Switch it would be a nightmare! there are 2,355 files and right now I guess the only way to get English Voices would be capturing the Audio from one of those releases but then there is background sound which you wouldn't want, unsure if you could turn that off.

Would take some serious time capturing it all and making sure it all matched up, interesting idea for the future if its ever possible to get a hold of those files, doesn't bother me too much though, I tend to prefer Japanese Voices anyhow.

I'd love to see the "Lessons" section texts translated. On a side note, I find the Japanese voices in this game annoying, particularly the female ones, but there's no option to turn them off, as far as I know.

Do you guys think that once PS4 and Switch game dumping becomes a thing, we will be able to implement english VOs into the 3DS and Wii U versions?

Possibly, it took around three years for the 3DS hacks to go public so don't count on it anytime soon. If you want the english dialog the best option would be to purchase the official English release on PS4 or Switch.

But they are not included in the last version yet, are they?

I haven't pushed a "official" release, but if you want the latest changes just download the "Translated Files" folder and it's contents from GitHub.

Yeah, I mean, the last version 0.x.

None of the changes I've detailed, such as the new text and font stuff were included that release. The latest files are available on the GitHub page, just not in a release form. A "numbered" release will release soon, just have to finalize some stuff.

Also, if you want to keep track of what's been done, the "Commits" link on GitHub will show you the all the changes that have been made.
