Got the first one and after installing YSmenu I haven't had any problems.

You see one person says one and one says the other :P
Is there any features that one have that the other doesn't that makes it better?

Just looking to get perfect playing ds games. Plus they're shipping from Canada where I live so I don't have to wait weeks.

Get r4i gold. It is objectively superior, it has wood r4 firmware which is tied with another card for having the best firmware.

Ah, I seen "wood firmware" being used alot, Im assuming the first link doesn't use wood? And Im not trying to sound like a ass but why is Wood so good what makes it that way?

If all u want from the flashcart are DS games, then go for one of the two you mentioned in the first post since they are way cheaper than the DS two, and they do the job just fine.

A few months ago I was in your shoes and also opened a thread just like this one to help me choose those between these 2, and I ended up getting the R4i SDHC one and I don't regret it since I never had any problem with any game.
But I guess the gold one is not much different from the other one, so it does not really matter.

From personal experience, I'd say R4i SDHC from nds-card which is a legit seller.

DSTWO is a damn fine cart, but it will drain your battery life when left in sleep mode. I always suggest going with the R4i Gold (r4ids.cn) The cart runs Wood R4 and is super lite on your battery life

I shall be the one to answer your question.

A small thing to note:
- Some flashcarts are recommendable thanks to them having "Official WoodR4 support" which really means little now seeing as Wood hasn't gotten updates in ages (mostly because there aren't any glaring problems, 99.9% game compatibility, etc.). Pretty much, if it's got the same game loaders as the last version of Wood (v1.62), official or not, they are all about equivalent.
- Wood is the preferred kernel since it is probably the 2nd most feature-filled menu besides the DSTWO and AKAIO.
- YSMenu is the last bastion of salvation for a host of clone flashcarts. It's most prominent feature is being next to feature-less. (It's got cheat support at least)
- If it's a clone, it's shit regardless of origin. (R4ids.cn included, though it's just less shit thanks to Official WoodR4 support)

The TL;DR run-down of the more reputable flashcarts:
AK2i: Contact issues across the land
DSTT: Old as fuck, and it's only saving grace is YSMenu, like almost every other clone flashcart out there.
R4iGold (R4ids.cn): Official Wood support, works and is recommendable. It's a clone though.
Ace3ds: Unofficial Wood support, still works. Maybe recommendable if it's cheaper and you give no shits about whatever small menu features were added post v1.42 or w/e. Game compatibility is supposedly still the same as v1.62.
DSTWO: The pinnacle of DS flashcarts. It'll fuk up your Slot1 (heil contact issues) AND burn more power for those features you probably won't use.
Original R4: 2GB limit, but otherwise equivalent to the R4ids.cn
EZVi: It's kind of spotty with it's extra features (but DOES have them), but the staple shit is as solid as any other flashcart.
Everything else: Probably not even worth looking at, you are just asking to fuck yourself over...

Thanks for the replies everyone I guess I'll go for the gold one I linked.
I don't care about anything but playing DS games. I don't need homebrew, emulation, even cheats. Just want to play some Ds games.
I also know how amazing the Dstwo is as I use to have my own that I paid a pretty penny years ago. If this was before my 3DS was modded I would could with the Dstwo. That's how I use to get my emulators and ds games back on the OG 3ds I had. But I have the 3DS with luma and a9lh which covers just about everything, and a modded Ps vita that gets anything else. Just need the DS.

If r4i gold I posted is the one suggested then I'll go with that as the difference is a Dollar which I could care less for.

Yeah I tried reading the descriptions on both and they both seem to do the same exact thing with the same features.

When I created the thread, a lot of people suggested me the R4i SDHC. Now people are suggesting you the Gold one. It all depends on people's personal experience, I guess.
Go for one of them, they aren't much different, and then my suggestion is for to install YSmenu which is amazing and will likely fix any problem you encounter on the stock firmware.
Good luck. Also buy from legit sellers to avoid problems or bad carts. I had a successfull experience with nds-card and it is a partner of gbatemp if im not mistaken, so you end up supporting the website.
Regards.
