Is there any way to make the game load faster (and stop lag when starting conversations) when using this? Or is it just a product of Luma's experimental romfs support?

That's a weird side effect of using Luma unfortunately.

Well that's kinda lame but the fact that this works at all is cool. Hopefully now that Luma is being updated more regularly again this will be improved upon in the future. Thanks.

So, i've been thinking about releasing a sound pack for GCN Ost since mostly I have a majority patched in and the previous thread is already outdated/unfinished. Not sure if I can actually create a new thread for that. I'm further planning along the lines of the previous games. Just to give people ease of access to this.

Just title the new thread "[RELEASE] Animal Crossing: New Leaf GCN Music Pack" and make a spoiler with @KunoichiZ's instructions (obviously be sure to credit her for making them first).

Will do once I get everything set....can't find clean rips of certain bgms but will work with what i find.

It should work with updates on 7.0.2. If should have fixed DLC and update issues unless it's more complicated.

You could rebuild the CIA and install the hacked CIA. LayeredFS by any means usually has lags. It's just the nature of things. But it can be improved if you prepare your files properly. Some homebrew tools will not produce files that are 100% compatible with SDK tools and this can lead to lag.

Is there anything else needed to get this to work apart from the right title ID and putting the sound files in the stream folder? I'm trying to launch the game and it's just crashing

Downgrade to Luma 7.0.3 if you updated to 7.0.4 or upgrade to the latest nightly.

Ah yeah that was the problem! Thanks

Just installed the hourly and it's sorted it out. Haven't found any problems with lag yet when starting conversations, only slightly longer loading times

That's the downside unfortunately. I know it does slow down the initial launch of the game but does it slow down for any place else? It's been awhile since I played with the music.

I only get slow down when it is going to the title screen. Haven't noticed it anywhere else and if there is, its not by much I guess

This pack is awesome! As far as I can tell, the only lag occurs when you enter a loading zone.
