The switch is not a hybrid handheld,its a hybrid home console which is completely different. 2Dsxl point is to make GWOP!
It's intentional, if it was tight (which you can get if you really want by adjusting it yourself, iirc) it would wear out more quickly in normal use
I keep hearing people say this, "it's intentional", and it may well be, but where has any official source confirmed this?

I think you might've read a little too far into my post my friend XD. I meant that Nintendo probably released the New 2DS XL so that they can squeeze the last bit of juice out of the 3DS money tree. Even though I do agree with your last point about how the Switch is $300, and how parents aren't going to spend money on a Switch when there is another system for half that price.
Yes, there is a point. Not because you think it is bad means the others wont like or buy it.

Now seriously, it was a possibility. The 3DS had a successful market fwiw, it makes sense for Nintendo to wring it up as much as possible by launching another model
In any case, we'll see in three months if the thing's worth buying or not

I rather save my money for a Switch right now but all my 3DS games become useless when I have a Switch. My 3DS is broken as of now so that doesn't help either.
This is actually a great solution for people who can't experience 3D because of eyesight and other problems problems like me.

The 2DS is useless. Another cashgrab. I don't care if people want to buy it, it doesn't matter to me. I just think it's stupid.
Albeit if it doesn't have a new hardware revision to prevent CFW installation.
