Hacking Luma3DS - Noob-proof 3DS Custom Firmware

Uhm, could someone help me?
I'm using Menuhax from Sys 9.2 (N3DS) to autoboot into CTRBootManager and from there it usually autoboots into Luma3DS through "Luma3DS.dat" and that only, i have no other Luma related files (besides the folder with configs). Thing is: That Luma version is very outdated (6.2.2 dev), i'd like to use the newer ones but it fails almost all the time. I'm simply replacing the .dat with newer ones and it just autoshuts. When trying to boot the Luma3DS.3dsx through hbl it just gives me an error "Failed to load payload", a red screen and returns to the bootmanager. Am i missing out something like missing files or folder structure?

Greeting to all Master mind of Luma3DS...

I'm GW user, want to try Luma3DS... I already read guide from 3ds.guide, luma3DS with GW A9LH, GW-3DS Beta,and many more...
but I'm still not understand, about "Previous game/app" that already installed in GW Emunand/Sysnand....

I read at GW-3DS Beta, it's said "A9LH will be installed & sysNAND will be restored from NAND.bin" ,
but it's not tell about where or when the NAND.bin created, And about the "Previous game/app",
is the "Previous game/app" restored too ???

At 3ds.guide site, it not mention about Restoring "Previous game/app"...
so the guide step are put some file to SDCard then install some application that make it Load firmware 2.1.0 Old Sysnand...
then after that, install more application, then Load firmware 11.2 that renamed to 11.4 <== this firmware for Sysnand or Luma Emunand ???
so if that 11.4 for Luma Emunand, so the 3DS will run 2.1.0 Sysnand right ???
Then some guide tell to unlink sysnand and luma emunand from formate the sysnand once again...

Then If I already backup my GW Emunand and 3DS SDCard file ... can I restore it to Luma Emunand ???
and what about the "Previous game/app", are they restored too ???
or maybe, can I install Luma3DS inside GW Emunand ????

Looking to pickup a cheap flashcart for NDS games, so am I correct to say as I'm using a9lh and Luma this will work?

My understanding is Nintendo blocked all the old flashcarts on official FW.

I don't need it for anything other than NDS.

There is a slot 1 launcher for r4 carts. it will make the cart work with luma, as shown in the video

this cart appears to be a 1-1 clone of original r4, so it will work with the r4 launcher

it will only take 2gb cards, but is very compatible provided the sddcard is high enough quality.

Ah well spotted, I think the lowest card I have is 4GB. I'll spend a little more on something better.

Check it first, some 4GB that were produced were standard SD

It's from a 3DS so it's a micro sdhc.

The first bullet point probably needs to be explained a little more. There were two different versions of Luma3DS. One was the developer version for developers, and the other was for normal people to install. Luma3DS v6.3 merged those versions together. Since then, Luma Updater had said that the latest stable version was the developer version, when in fact it's not. I've sinced removed that text, in hopes that newcomers won't get confused and won't think they're installing a developer version of Luma3DS.

This fork was really only made to help new people as the other app was kinda confusing. I don't know enough about the code to make any major corrections.

It's open sources so you could always copy paste new stuff. Maybe it'll help you learn.

I'm on 11.2 and I believe I have the latest Luma. Is GBA and SNES broken for 11.2 ? I can't seem to play them on my luma cfw 11.2.

No problems here. On O3DS so I tested a blargsnes and OldSnes9x injects. I'm on 11.2 with Luma 7.0.2.

Thanks for the response, SNES Virtual console on my end now works, GBA is a bit flaky. XD I also have the emulators and they are working just fine. I guess I just have to test it out more.

Hello, I couldn't get the undubs romfs for Fire Emblem Fates to work. I am using the FE Fates Special Edition cart and my romfs directory is as follows :
/luma/titles/0004000000179800/romfs/00179800.romfs

Am I doing something wrong or it's just not compatible at the moment? I have updated to Luma 7.0.3 and enabled game patching.

To use it, you will need to copy romfs files (following the romfs folder structure) to /luma/titles/<titleID>/romfs/.

Can't run BoxBoxBoy! & Goodbye! BoxBoy! both hang on a 3DS logo. Is there an AP protection & if so any way to bypass it?
My setup is o3dsxl+a9lh+11.4+latest luma

Luma v7.0.4 broke Animal Crossing New Leaf layeredfs support. I would assume all languages broke. The game crashes upon loading. @Aurora Wright
