Homebrew stock 11.4 n3ds and installing without any prior hacks

i have the n3ds and i recently updated it to 11.4. my n3ds is still stock without any hacks. can i just install a9lh without any issues? or is there something i need to do before just installing a9lh?

You can't install a9lh on 11.4. Best you can hope for is homebrew. Even that will be tricky - I think all the free entrypoints are patched currently.

if i had the doodlebomb entrypoint(installed after 11.4 update) for the homebrew then would i be able to install a9lh?

As far as I'm aware, no. There are no kernel exploits for 11.4, so userland homebrew is as far as you can get for now. When a method of installing a9lh becomes publically available, it will be included in 3ds.guide

Currently your choices are mainboard replacement or a 3DS that's on 11.3 or lower firmware.
