New items like the sanrio sets and RV villagers do not appear on the Save Editor. my console is at 9.8.0 and my cartridge is the normal one, not with the Welcome Amiibo update. do i need to update my console and get the Amiibo update? please help
You need the Welcome amiibo update to use those items. Follow http://3ds.guide then download the update. Start the game and let Isabelle do what she needs to do. Then save and use JKSM as a CIA to extract your save file.

if i get the CFW, i don't need to update my console? will i be able to download the Welcome Amiibo without updating my console? because i don't want to update my console to 11.3 or higher because i won't be able to use the Save Editor and homebrew anymore.

That's why I said use JKSM as a CIA installed on your Home Menu. If you get CFW, the alternative is finding the update on that iso site as a CIA and installing it that way.

i'm new to this and those terms are kinda confusing. i'm asking for detailed instructions not instructions like i know everything already like those JKSV and CIA stuff.

And I will give you those instructions after you follow 3ds.guide. But, ignore the step that says do a system update when you come to it.

Hi there ! I've got a l little problem with my hacked ACNL town. I can't have special visitors (Redd, Gracie...) anymore. I guess it's because I haven't kept enough free place for buildings in the town plaza. But now that it's clear, they still don't come in my town. I don't blame the ACNL Save Editor, I know that's completely my bad, but does anyone have already face this problem and succeded in fixing it ? Help me gbatemp.net, you're my only hope !
Thanks in advance for your consideration and help !

I can't seem to find any real topic dealing with this, but I am trying to fix a file for a friend of mine and I've been working on it all morning. Thus far I can't seem to figure out what went wrong and why it's crashing. I've checked all the obvious stuff like dupe/bad items and if the river was flowing the wrong way, but that didn't seem to be the issue either. So I am hoping someone might be able to help out.

Had they done anything to modify their villagers items? i find that seems to bork my save when I do that.

She really doesn't remember what she did. Her save broke back in April of last year.

I'd look at it directly if I had the time. Sadly, i don't. I used to have bad flowing rivers with no problems. I would look for things like PWP count, PWP where they dont belong, too many PWP like bridges. (I have 4, but i heard more than that will crash the game. Projects or other "stuff" in the town tree area, does the town have the default number of rocks, was the travel dock moved? Also, the save ID may be wrong, as in the save trying to be used isn't seen as most recent. These are all things off the top of my head. Can your friend recall the last things they edited? If they can try, reverting them may work.
This should be a teachable moment for your friend. ACNL is finicky and you should always make a clean backup, then test the edited save before deleting the backup. Good luck. Wish I could help more.

I'm guessing this was done on ANCL not the welcome amibo so that I dont use the wrong game here.
It was done on ANCL, not Welcome amibo. Thank you so much for helping btw! ^_^ I really wanted to help her, but I couldn't seem to figure out this one
Normally when I fix a save there's a glaring flaw that causes the issue. This one seems to lack a glaring flaw
