Simply choose to install normal version on luma updater.

You can update your ofw without any problem.

I already choose to install normal version and It shows me dev version after the installation.

I can upgrade my OFW and loose nothing ? I mean I will still have acces to homebrew ? HomeBrewChannel and everything else ?

Thank you.

Posting in here,

I'm still using EmuNAND on latest Luma, should i update this to 11.4, then backup the emunand and transffer it to sysnand to get rid of emunand completly?
On the other side, everythings working fine on emunand (just when quitting gba games, it returns to sysnand instead of emunand for some wierd reasons)

Just asking because i'm in doubt about doing it (pro's/con's) with latest Luma 7.x

You mean, you want to switch to a9lh?
If so, you only need to follow the guide just as you are right now and make sure you move your emunand to sysnand when you're on
Section IV - Restoring the System.
almost at the end of the guide.

Once you've finished, you can update to 11.4 without problem.
The latest Luma has layeredfs implemented, one of the features most used from NTR and also fixed a problem that did not let you play vc on older luma's versions when on 11.4

Nowadays, I would say it's only useful if you want to have "multiple setups", like an eur and an usa system or something for some reason, or separate some games or apps from others, have multiple NNIDs linked, etc.

Hi,

Just two questions.

I'ma actually using luma updater to update my CFW. Since there is a bugin luma updater, I have the dev version installed.
How can I switch back to the stable version ?

What happened if I update my OFW firmware ?
I'm actually on 10.X I donc't remember exactly which one.

I'm asking that because it's annoying to use third part sofware in order to access internet feature such DLC or demon on eshop ...

Thanks.
There is no bug. It downloads DIRECTLY from the GitHub page. It's labeled as the Dev version for reasons I don't know. Maybe @Aurora Wright can explain???

The dev and normal version merged months ago, they are the same now, don't worry
Regards the update, I don't have the means to do an explanation right now (battery dying). I hope someone can help you with this one

If you mean SysNAND, yes, it is safe to update SysNAND on latest Luma3DS release. If you mean a 3DS WITHOUT CFW, do NOT update. First, install CFW.

Hi guys. Have a question about Luma's LayeredFS functionality... I am working on making a LayeredFS compatible patch for Taiko Drum Master: Dokodon Mystery Adventure, but I can't get certain files that were patched in a later official update to the game (JP1.1) to show up in english with layeredFS. Is there any way around this? I know with NTR, I had to make a new plugin based on the update's new exefs, but since Luma doesn't use that sort of thing, how can I get it to recognize layeredFS files for updates?

A LONG time ago, I followed Plailect's guide and got ARM9/Luma3DS installed and all was well. Months and months went by and I never touched the 3DS. Recently, I started messing around on it again and I installed the latest Luma CFW (7.0.2?) by copying over the .bin file and again, everything seemed well. All my games worked, that 'FBI' program loads....everything was cool.

I turned wi-fi back on and had to remove my custom DNS settings on the 3DS to get FreeShop working. Today, I got an alert saying something about needing a system update. I backed out of that and went into system settings and see "Sys 11.0.0-33U". I'm fairly certain that at one point, it said "Emu xxxxxx". Looks like I'm booting into SysNand :(.

I checked the options in Luma and I'm NOT defaulting to booting sysNand at power up. I tried selecting "Emunand x1, x2, x3, x4" and each time at boot, System info still reports "Sys 11.xxx".

So I don't turn a weird situation bad, how do I perform the following:

1) Erase any traces of the pending system update from sysnand. (Assuming I'm actually in sysNand)

2) From where I am, how do I create a Emunand or what do I need to do to see if it's hidden on my SD card?

Unfortunately, I don't stay in the loop on this stuff as much as I'd like so I'll need you to explain things like you're talking to a 5 year old.

I found this post....(see # 12).... should I follow those steps?

Thanks

You... don't really need an EmuNAND anymore. But, have you checked the SD Card to see if the EmuNAND files are still there?

As of right now these are the only reasons I can see for non-developers to use emunand.
1. Have an 11.2 or 11.3 emunand for NTR video streaming on the n3DS
2. Have a different region emunand for whatever reason.
3. Bypass the 300 title limit by using an emunand for injected NES, SNES, and GB/GBC games.

Yes you can, you won't loose anything ;)

1. 11.2 is the latest supported by Brickway.

So I'm extremely confused, I was playing a gba room with retroarch (latest stable) and my 3ds froze, no big deal, turned it back on to this...

EDIT: I removed the battery and it fixed it, weird...
