Hi,
As I mentionned before on this thread, I don't understand how the romfs structure is supposed to work.
To be accurate, I wanted to patch my Taiko cartridge directly with Luma, so I basically did this :

luma_screen.png

Obviously, that's not working at all. I assume the romfs should have a particular name - or file extension - , or be in a particular folder ?
I'd really appreciate some help here. Many thanks in advance !

As far as I know the locale txt file must be in locales instead of tittles and must be renamed from locale to Tittle id.txt

/luma/locales/0004000000190E00.txt

That's true only until 6.6. After that, the new path is the one @GoldNoway said.

That said, I don't know how to help you, Gold :(
EDIT: Did you enable Game Patching in the Luma settings?

And what about the romfs ? Luma 7.0.2 can load romfs just like that in a single file ? Because on 7.0 I was using my hans romfs but I have to unpack it and using : /luma/tittleid/romfs/(all files)

That may be the case.
I don't have experience with romfs structure, since I only used game patching to locale emulation so far.

I'm on New3ds and I am unable to load into the chainloader. I have hacked a 3ds before and now what I'm doing but his 3ds had an issue with payloads before updating luma but I hoped the update would fix it, does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Hi,

Just two questions.

I'ma actually using luma updater to update my CFW. Since there is a bugin luma updater, I have the dev version installed.
How can I switch back to the stable version ?

What happened if I update my OFW firmware ?
I'm actually on 10.X I donc't remember exactly which one.

I'm asking that because it's annoying to use third part sofware in order to access internet feature such DLC or demon on eshop ...

Thanks.

Simply choose to install normal version on luma updater.

You can update your ofw without any problem.

a friend of mine got a really weird problem with his o3ds eur( got al9h on board ( of course from plailect guide)):
after 2 days of 3ds just lay down on table he cant get to home menu ( lumaconfig and godmod works fine :wtf:)
just get black screen on boot
his payload consist only godmod,
he dont have "Enable loading extarnal FIRMs..." option enable.
Already tried different SD,6.6, 7, 7.0.1, 7.0.2, deleting config file, "I get a black screen on boot" from wiki ( even though we managed to get "errdisp" option on 6.6 and get svcBreak - screen below, with loader.cxi, system wont boot neither)
dFJaUK-Qqss.jpg
mostly strange in all this - 3ds wont boot without SD ( same simptoms)

also got some crush dumps from 6.6 luma

upd1. forget to mention - no cart is inserted, he also tried ctrtransfer to 9,2 - to no avail, also - he dont save his nand backup or otp file, recovery mode working but dont change a thing

up i guess.

Quick question, what's the boot speed approximately ? I feel mine a bit slow.
I have to question why exactly does it matter? (Not trying to be snarky)
5-6 seconds Dosent seem too bad...

And average boot is about 4-7 seconds, depending on your model

Hello, My N3DS has prompted to update to be able to join the net in Pokemon Sun. I use Luma and have the a9lh. Is this ok to update? Sorry for the noob question. I also use BootNTR Selector if that matters lol.

No, that's right, it doesn't matter. I'm just wondering if i've missed up something cause mine is almost at 9-10 seconds. o3ds a9lh+luma 7.0.2

Also if you install lots of titles it will take longer and longer for every tittle installed. I've had a huge increase in boot time in a New 3DS when I've switched from 32gb to 128gb and filled the poor home menu with CIA dumps from my carts and freeshop downloads.

Boot speed is slower if you have an SD card larger than 32GB regardless of how much of that you've filled because the 3DS is well designed.

This is the case even on a completely unhacked system.

Stupid question:

Kids want to play NDS(i) again on there 3DS, do i need patched TWL stuff on latest Luma?
(I tried already those stage 2 launchers, but those all give an error)
(still got me CycloDSi and EDGEi)

No, patched TWL_FIRM requirements died out months ago. All modern CFWs apply them on the fly now, and in fact, Luma will likely shut off the console if it detects you've got patched TWL_FIRM.

If you still have patched TWL, get clean copies: https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/wiki/FAQ-and-troubleshooting
