Hardware 2DS circle pad replacement+ N3DS sd card question.

My 2ds's circle pad came off. My 2ds looks like this:

I bought a circle pad replacement that looks like this:

I was thinking I could just put the pad over the joystick but I wasn't able to.

Is there a way for me to put it on without taking apart my 2ds?

I also have a MISB Pokemon Sun and Moon N3DS that I got in November,

I'm thinking about finally opening it.

The reason why I've not opened it is because of the SD issue (the N3DS doesn't take SD cards, it only takes microSD cards).

If I were to take all the screws out and put them somewhere safe couldn't I just take the bottom off the N3DS all the time to access the MicroSD slot?

Why would u need access to the ad card all the time?

So I can install games and other homebrew things.

You can do that on the 3DS itself. But yes you can keep the bottom part removed or at least unscrewed at all times if you really wanted to.

What do you mean when you say "You can do it on the 3ds itself"? What I want to do is just cover the joystick.

I'm referring to the SD card needing to be removed all the time.

Also, what is Homebr3w?

I also need to access my sd card for save files and themes.

That's only like a few times that u need access to the mSD card and nope it was not

So, I barely need to touch my mSD card for much other than injecting and exporting saves and importing themes?

What is that? Oh, I also forgot, I would also need to take out the mSD card to put in the A9LH files and the other files like that.
