3 days ago, I finish Bayonetta. So, why don't make a theme?
Is this my last theme? I don't know. Maybe? Maybe not?
Borders and folders have the texture based on Bayonetta's suit

Definitive tutorial on how to create custom themes with rolling screens on both screens
In this tutorial I will explain how you can create a theme with rolling images. The methods covered in the tutorial can be used to create any type of assembly, the assembly process using cutting mask together with the brush, should be perfected by you. I have made available a demo.psd file that has all the procedures explained in the tutorial.

Hey everyone!
I don't have a theme release today, but I'm working on one right now...
It's µ's - Bokutachi wa hitotsu no hikari.

Now, I wanted to ask everyone's opinion about something:
The song loop.

Now, as most of you know, the 3DS home menu has a limit of about 3.3MB for each theme's music, in BCSTM format.
So, normally, I clip a certain segment of the song that loops well without having to set any loop points or anything like that.
However, that doesn't always work out; for example, on my Mijuku DREAMER theme, the loop was too long and it wound up with not-super-great sound quality.

On top of that, honestly, with this song, I don't like the idea of clipping a segment of it. Ideally, I'd have the whole song playing, beginning to end. But of course, the filesize limit puts a damper on that idea.
(I tried encoding BokuHika into BCSTM to fit the filesize limit as a joke. The resulting file sounds like I had recorded it off of a telephone call. :ohnoes:)

Now, I did try a compromise; have the opening and first part of the song play, then loop from the first chorus ("Kotori no ...") to just before the second chorus ("Hikari wo ..."). I tested encoding this version after getting the loop point just right (BRSTM/BCSTM converter doesn't work right for this, but BrawlBox does). It sounds decent, but it is a bit muffled, about comparable quality to my Mijuku DREAMER theme.

So, extremely unnecessarily long story short, which would you all prefer; a short clipping of the song at the highest quality, or a longer clipping of the song with the intro and beginning of the song, but at a medium quality?

(Also, sorry my themes and such have taken so long to happen in general lately. I haven't had much motivation... But I intend to make this theme one of my best ever! (Ima ga saikou~))

Anyhow, hoping to hear what y'all think about this. Thanks for your patience everyone! µ'sic forever~!

I sincerely prefer a music quality of 32,000HZ.

Honestly, go for the quality. You could use a fade-out towards the end (probably after chorus?). I mean people won't be camping at their home screen, so I think it's perfectly fine to have a fade-out and loop from the start.

Update: Finally fixed the BGM. No more static noise.
Download: 3DSThem.es
Also, I remembered a long time ago when I started work on a JonTron theme and dropped it because of the BGM. I've picked up on it again and am working on it.

Ryumaru linked me to this thread yesterday, so I'm going to dump my themes here!

I'm VERY new to theme making and I feel like I should note that graphics are my main skill, when it comes to audio I am a complete rookie and haven't bothered to try out custom looping yet, so some themes may just have an end to start loop, although most should have custom loops since I grabbed a lot from smashcustommusic.

All of them use official art, in-game sprites, promotional illustrations, etc, and official music/sounds, in case that's your kind of thing. (or tiled backgrounds that I had to make for some of their lower screens.)
