Hey guys, I wanted to ask a request for a Vita app that it looks like noone thought about creating it yet.

What I really would like to have would be a app where you can manage your trophies.
Since the release of Vitamin and MaiDump Tool a lot of people (including me) were trying out to play backups on their Vita.
One thing I like to do is collection trophies when playing games I enjoy, and synchronize them with my PSN Account (which is possible again since PSN spoofing is working again).

What I read in some other threads is that by synchronizing trophies from a backup game might get my account banned, so I´m not doing that just to be safe.

Now that´s where such kind of app would become quite useful, it might help you to just upload the trophies from games you really own.

I was thinking about these kind of functions:

1. Being able to delete Trophies/complete games from your Trophy list
2. Being able to hide specific games so they won´t get synchronized with the server but still will show up in your trophy list(if that´s even possible).
3. Being able to see the description of hidden trophies you didn´t unlock yet
(4. Maybe clean up the entire folders where the trophy data is stored. I tried to just delete some files to get some games out of the list a while ago, it worked at the end but I´m not sure if I really deleted everything to make sure that there will be no hints left. Maybe I even deleted too many files I wasn´t supposed to, I can´t even tell...)
5. Since I am using my Vita and my Vita TV to play I don´t really have a device where I have all of my collected trophies together right now...maybe it would be possible to either copy the trophy data from one system to the other or even synchronize them locally, so you can collect trophies on both systems and after a while just synchronize them by using the app?

The 4. point would probably just help me, if it´s even necessary at all. And the 3rd point doesn´t have anything to do with synchronizing them, but it would still be a nice feature for such an app.
I don´t know if there are many people who really care about collecting trophies, but maybe it might become handy for more people who have the same thought as me.

If someone has enough knowledge and is willing to make an app like that that would be really awesome!

I hope this is doable,
tap into the systems image storage and serve these over FTP and/or USB.

Basically, all that I really want to do is be able to retrieve screenshots from games over a usable method, instead of how they are currently sorted when accessing it directly from the filesystem.
It's almost random there. So if this data can be read from whatever data storage the vita is using to store these (like in the photo gallery), being able to use this data for sending/recieving images would be good.

I could never get CMA working

Dear somebody who's more clever with technology than I am:

Please, please, PLEASE give me a plugin that lets me use any USB controller I want with my Playstation TV. Look, I've explored every other avenue. I even tried to buy a Mayflash controller adapter... they sent me a baby stroller cover instead! I'm dying over here!

What USB controllers are compatible with PSTV?

Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

According to Reddit, just four.

Mayflash adapter
CronusMAX Plus adapter -- protocol set to PS3 -- even two on a USB hub
Titan One
STRIKE NX Wirer GamePad

The PSTV either ignores input from other controllers or gives a compatibility error. I've tried everything I have in my collection, and nothing has worked. There's got to be a way to force the system to recognize USB controllers, and it may even be as easy as turning off a flag, but nobody seems interested in attempting it.

Seeing that there aren't any custom shells or anything for the VITA yet, I might bring back this guy.
It's been a while since I worked on this, but I'm thinking of re-coding everything from the ground up. No this is not, and will not be original android, but it's a shell inspired by (then CyanogenMod) (now) Lineage OS.

What would be the point of this??
Well it would be similar to an Android UI (if you like that) which'll make full use of VITA's touch functionality, and will come with a music player, file manager, security options and high customization options plus a bunch of other things such as plugin managers and such. Maybe its a bit too early to talk as I haven't coded most of these yet, but it's definitely a possibility. Won't be pushing anything to GitHub, or providing any builds until I get a decent amount of things working though.

This sounds amazing! It would be awesome jf this could be a front-end for Retroarch to launch emulator games, and maybe even have game screenshots/descriptions.

Sorry but it won't really have anything to do with Retroarch. That's something the retro-arch devs have control of, not me, but surely it should be able to launch retroarch which can then let you play your emulators and such.

Been experimenting with a new file manager if anyone cares. The GUI is similar to the "CM file manger" found on android. Currently it's just for my experimental purposes, and for me to learn more. I might make a public release once things are ready and I feel like it offers more than just an alternative file manager. As always my sources are on Git. https://github.com/joel16/PSVShell

I've tried ordering the Mayflash Universal Adapter TWICE. The first time they sent me something else entirely. The second time I got a faulty unit. I'm at the point where I will get down on my knees and beg for a wired controller plugin for the PSTV. Please. Please! There are plugins for everything else... why not this?

What a drag! What controller were you gonna use with that adapter?

I just got done modding a couple of 3DS's, and 2 Vita's, PSTV is my next project, but I have always wondered about controller alternatives to a DS3/DS4.

Anything that would work. Specifically, the PS2 Sega Saturn pad and the Hori Fight Stick 3.

The problem with this adapter seems to be the cable. I believe it's damaged on one end, and you have to crimp it to get any response at all (and only briefly). My first instinct would be to replace the cable, but if that doesn't work then I can't return it for a refund. If I return it, I have to pay for shipping and I won't be able to get a replacement for the same price, if I can find one at all.

It's really fucking annoying, you know? Sony COULD have given players a wider variety of controllers to use with the PSTV but nope, it's just the DS3, DS4, and a small handful of converters that function with it purely by chance. I'm sure there's a workaround, but there's no interest in the hacking community to make one, because... well, it's a PSTV.

At this point if you're having that much trouble trying to get a working adapter to the PSTV, it might just be better to buy a DS3/4 controller. (Unless I'm mistaken and this somehow defeats the point of what you're trying to accomplish.) Not sure what the prices are in the US but over here they're generally $35 AUD second-hand.

No, I'm good for Dual Shock 3 and 4 controllers (got three of the former and two of the latter). The point is that I want a good controller for fighting games and arcade-style games, and the Dual Shock ain't it. I'd like to use a Saturn style controller, or the Hori arcade stick I recently got, but neither of those work on a Playstation TV by default.

I would also live to see MUGEN and Beats of Rage portedcto Vita.
