I have upgraded to the latest firmware and as those in the know know this update broke homebrew launcher which I was going to use to get access to dspfirm.cdc . Is there a method to get dspfirm.cdc now that this exploit has been plugged? I have Luma 3ds running great except for the previously mentioned cia. Thanks all.

HBL supposedly works on 11.4.

I verifed this myself by installing homebrew launcher. 11.4 patches udsploit which homebrew launcher uses to execute. I wish I would have known this before upgrading. I would have ran hbl and extracted dspfirm.cdc. :-( Can you direct where you obtained this information? Maybe there is an updated cia that I'm not aware of and circumvents this limitation?

if your on an O3DS yea your locked out as far as i'm aware. then again alot of people are finding a huge section of Homebrew dont work reguardless if you have an 11.3 NAND backup i'd suggest downgrading and using ctr-httpwn to go online when needed

Pretty sure UDSploit is not used by HBL itself. It's only used by homebrew that needs kernel access, which dspdump does not. However I heard a lot of homebrew is broken at the moment, dspdump may be one of them.
In Luma you should be able to use the 11.2 HBL payload on 11.4 (Just rename the 11.2 file to 11.4) and HBL should work.

What file are you speaking of and where do I find it on the sd card? Thanks.

Ok, I got hblauncher working courtesy of sthetix, youtube @

I downloaded the 11.2.0.7-u payload from http://smealum.github.io/3ds/, scroll down the page until you see the firmware selector dialog box.

I copied the name of the current payload installed in /hblauncherloader directory. For my install, it was named OLD-11-4-37-USA.bin. I then renamed the the downloaded payload from http://smealum.github.io/3ds/ to OLD-11-4-37-USA.bin

I uploaded and overwrote the current payload in /hblauncherloader directory with the downloaded one (OLD-11-4-37-USA.bin).

I uploaded dspdumper.3dfx file to /3ds., https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-dsp-dump.423860/

Voila, Home brew launcher now works on 11.4 and I was able to run dsp dumper and decrypt dspfirm.cdc. The decrypted file is located in /3ds/dspfirm.cdc. Thanks to everyone that answered my questions and tried to help me.
