No? Titles are stored on the SD Card not in the NAND'S CTR Partition?
It must be tickets then... right? If I had Animal Crossing installed, and I used your CTRTransfer, and you didn't have the ticket for it, Animal Crossing wouldn't show up. It's still on my SD card, it just won't be visible for me.

Well I feel stupid, you've got a guide on your site about it. :rofl2:
sysUpdater will be a quicker process, though it's got a chance of failing, but if you use a cia version of it, it will get the permissions it needs flawlessly, and it's just a matter of rolling the dice on whether it fails or not. The four times I used sysUpdater to update/downgrade with CFW, it never failed for me.

I don't mean the bricking chance is risky, I am referring to the frankenfirmware aka mixed firmware it sometimes produces, thats the main danger to a9lhed devices. ^^

How is it dangerous? If you use Luma or any cfw with the firm0 patch (I think that's what it's called? Correct me if I'm wrong) it prevents arm9loaderhax from being uninstalled.

mixed firmware, means that your firmware is just partially downgraded, which can cause critical issues / bugs /other random issues. thats why a lot of people don't prefer the "raw" downgrade, also for OFW users the brick rate was really high, so in both cases a ctrtransfer is the safer method, but everyone can do whatever he/she wants to.

Indeed CTRTransfers are safer, but you could use sysUpdater to downgrade/upgrade to any version that's stored on Ninty's servers, and then you could make a CTRTransfer version of it, so that others could use it, that way people could downgrade/upgrade to whatever version they wanted using your site ;). It's just a suggestion, but it'd be neat to have CTRNAND's of all versions so that the people who wanted to see what it was like to have X firmware, they could when 3DSNUS stops working.

Yeah I used it at the ancient version of plailects guide, I dunno if you are in the 3d shacking community that long to know what I am referring to, but I don't have the ability right now, to recheck if any title has been downgraded succesfully after using sysdowngrader to make a ctrnand image out of it, also there's no point in going back abymore then 11.2 since there is literally no use to be in any firmware above that (except 2.X until we have boot9)

Yeah, I did use it. I've installed A9LH on 3 3DS's, my personal 3DS, I installed it on one of the very early editions of the guide, which I used sysUpdater to go to 9.2, then I downgraded 2 friends' ds's with dsiwarehax to downgrade NFIRM, and then used sysUpdater. Never had a problem.
The only thing I can see, is maybe someone wants to go before 9.0 to avoid themes, or go to 9.5 because it has the Spider exploit...

to avoid themes simply don't use them also nfc needs firmware 9.6+ iirc and there are a lot better exploits been found since that old firmwares though.

Spider exploit allowed action replay codes. It's not present in any other firmware, but most of the cheats have been ported to NTR/Gateway...
And I'm just naming examples of why someone would want to be on a specific firmware. I personally don't care which firmware my 3DS is running, but I remember there were some people that were going crazy of someone who found a 3DS on version 1.0

well you can do whatever you want, but make sure to have a NAND backup / do the region change on an emunand.
