Gaming Any RPGS worth playing?

Trust me, I've searched far and wide and have played most handheld rpgs. From Bravely second, Pokemon, Monster Hunter, to Shin Megami games. Fire Emblem, Kingdom hearts; etc. I need something new and fun. * -*

I don't really like mario games and things like that, but maybe there's some JPN gems I haven't discovered, yet? I've got a hacked 3ds so the world is my oyster. I'd appreciate feedback, please and thanks ! <3

Give a detailed list of what have you played already.
I haven't played 3DS in a long time, but I remember last time I was playing 7th Dragon 3 VFD, and it looked alright. I don't even remember what I played and what to recommend, but before I consider recalling, list what you already played. Also, you ask for suggestions for 3DS only or also DS?

PS: There are some BORTZ lists around the Forums, that may be a good place to take a look.

Hi! Thank you very much for the list, was a helpful start.
I've played a majority of them on that list and/or dislike the others I haven't. The ones I really didn't like I left out from the list you provided.
I can have suggestions for both 3ds and ds. I am going to play Severed now, though !

Anyway I have fonder memories of the DS, among the many on DS I would recommend these:
SMT: Strange Journey (among my favourites)
Soma Bringer
Radiant Historia
Avalon Code (never finished it, but it has its charm)

Well, I wouldn't consider Castlevania RPGS, even when they have some RPG element.

Would entirely depend on how set in stone and what one expects from RPG.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3D if you haven't played it on the Wii. Try it on 3DS.

Great game. But on 3DS it looks too blurry and with horrible framerate.
I would highly recommend playing it on a Wii, Wii U or emulator instead.

Dragon Quest Monsters 2 remake on 3ds.
My favorite game ever, but it is in japanese.
