I'm playing my game in Japanese region free threw homebrew on a US 3DS running 11.3 FW, is there any way I can download the 1.1 update and play online? I don't need the English patch just the actual game update, I really don't mind playing it in Japanese I just want to be able to hunt online with friends
You can download the update but you cannot install a cia file on a stock 11.3 3DS so no, your online days are over unless a 11.3 hack comes out.
Okay guys, this is for O3DS users with NTR Mode3+"Patch Method 1".
I'm assuming N3DS might be the same fix, since it literally just needs replacing one file.
Just:
1 - Download the Update v1.1 for the game and install it normally with any installer of your option. (Not gonna link it, you can easily find it on that iso site).
2 - Power Off your 3DS and insert your SD on your computer.
3 - Download the updated LayeredFS uploaded by @DarkSynopsis

4 - Place the downloaded file on: "X:\plugin\0004000000197100\". Where "X" is your SD's directory.
PS: If there is already a LayeredFS on that folder (and it should have) just replace it.
That's it. Everything should be back to working again just normally. Including online, of course.

Not for me, i use a N3DS and did all the steps of the tutorials. My problem started after the 1.1 update, the NTR didnt work anymore.
the "freeshop" version is just the regular e-shop digital version... freeshop literally connects to nintendo's server...
because updates are handled as their own cia and thattitlekeysite hasn't updated the list for the update yet?
just download the cia from thatisosite and install with fbi, do the steps above and done.
hey m8, with the new patch, i cant get into the game with the ntr, got an old 3ds, i use ntr selector mode 3 to open it,but once the new patch of monster hunter got installed (v1.1.0), every time i try to open the game after opening the ntr, it gets frozzen on the 3ds screen (the one that shows once you open a game) and never loads. SEND HELP! :v

Looks like putting the English Patch folders (arc/table) into v1.10 Update ROMFS worksfinally, won't have to boot NTR each time!
NTR Version was an easy fix though, just needed to update the LayeredFS.

What Patch Method did you use? 1, 2 or 3?

If 2, try updating LayeredFS anyway, see if it works. (backup the old one in case you want to restore it later, if there is any need, that is)
If 3, on that iso site you can find both a clean update file and an update file with the english patch v2 built in.
You're not a "patch" away, just an update away! I don't know your 3DS config, so, all I can say is, if you have access to installing .cia, go to that website and search MHXX v1.1 update, it's pretty easy to find.
Once more, on that iso site, you can find both a clean update file and an update file with the english patch v2 built in. If you download the clean file, you may run intro problems, hope my previous answer to skateredm, on this same post, can help you fix it after you update!
