If my lad has been playing pokemon moon from a cartridge are his saves kept there?? I was thinking about getting a digital copy of the game as he is terrible for losing cartridges. He must have lost about 20 from his original ds.

Am I able to transfer his save from the cartridge to the digital copy of the game?

The save is on the cartridge, but you can download save data transfer tool or something like that for free from eshop. I think you'll also be able to somehow use homebrew save managers, but I don't know how they work exactly.

If you mean 11.3, you can get homebrew by getting Homebrew Only http://3sdsetup.tk and put the contents to your sd, then launch 3ds sound and play the nedwill file. You can't pirate games with it, but you can run homebrew

Soooo.....I've got a new unmodified, completely standard, 2DS on 11.3.0-36. It's got one game, Mario Kart 7, pre-loaded (not on a cartridge) that has a saved game.

I've also got another 2DS, with "the latest a9lh and luma3ds". I've quoted that because that is what I've been told, but I don't quite know what it means

Now...I'm going to put a Mario Kart 7 ROM/.CDI onto the hacked 2DS.
Question 1: can I somehow get the saved game of the new 2DS, and get it onto the hacked one, and carry on in the game where I left off?

Question 2: (unrelated to Q1) Can I take my old NDS R4card and put it into either of the 2DS's? Will it work on both, or just the hacked one, or neither?

I have a n3DS on CFW 11.2.0.35. What's the best route to put it on current firmware while retaining CFW? Just go ahead and update it the normal way?

I did this a few months ago. I just haven't updated it since 11.3 came out and was wondering what the safest route would be.

hey guys i need quick help, and stuck .. i was able to downgrade to 2.1.0-4 U but in the process when downgrading to 2.1.0-4 U.. i wasn't able to make a NAND backup.. because i didn't have enough storage on my SD card (i was using 4Gb)
so i went ahead and done the downgrade.. after the process im in 2.1.0-4 U and and i realize how important that is thats why i stopped and this is where i am..
im following this guide i found on the net --

so im on the next step where installing arm9loaderhax
but i dont want to continue because there parts it ask me to restore the nand backup which i dont have.
"under" Section IV - Restoring the System"
should i skip this step or proceed with tutorial.. i dont mine loosing whatever saved. just want to continue with the tutorial..
so what do i need to do next? is the nandbackup required in order for me to continue and will i brick if i dont have nand back up.

nope. . . i had mset installed and a downgraded twlfirm and everything went smoothly but you are correct it is still advised to start fresh . . . i just whipped out a new sd card and used that

Just wanted to say thanks for the answers. Following 3ds.guide and restoring my previous emuNAND to sysNAND now and no problems so far. Real cool of you all too field us noobs questions.

Hi all. I recently bought an already hacked 3DS and I have some question since I literally have no idea what to do and I don't want to mess up my system. I'm on 11.3. The 3DS has 11 games already installed, and I followed the soundhax guide to boot HBL with the Music app. This is the only thing that I've done.

The CFW that the console has is Luma3DS 6.6. This is what appears when holding Select when the console is starting up:

I'm gonna assume it's working as it should be working considering the system is already on 11.3. My question is this: can I safely install FBI to install CIAs or should I just wait a bit more? I don't want to do anything just yet because I don't want to potentially brick the console.

Sorry if my english is messed up and thanks in advance.
