hey guys, need a little help with my Majora's Mask New 3DS XL not booting after I updated to 11.3.

I previously installed A9LH by downgrading to 9.2 and then doing the process outlined in plailect's older guide. I've been updating to the newest firmware when it releases as normal without issue before now, accessing eshop, playing online, installing CIA files, running homebrew, etc.

Went to update to 11.3 due to having no issues with updating before then.

Update downloaded and installed as normal, but when I went to turn on my system, the blue power light came on and nothing happened. I forced the system to power down and tried removing my SD card, but that simply prevents my 3DS from booting and causes the blue light to blink once.

Any ideas what the problem is and what might fix it? I don't want to go into this blind and end up bricking my system, obviously.

I DO have dumps of emuNAND_formatted.bin, emuNAND_original.bin, sysNAND_original.bin, sysNAND-A9LHAX.bin and otp.bin just in case this requires hardware to fix, but i'd rather not have to if i can avoid it.

Edit #1: I swapped my Arm9LoaderHax.bin with the one from the most recent release of LUMACFW, and all i need now is an explanation as to what options i need ticked and what further files i need to update.

Edit #2: System boots straight into the main interface and i can boot and play all of my games and homebrew without issue. was it really as simple as updating A9LH?!?

Just, FYI, you didn't update A9LH. A9LH is in your NAND.

I updated it in the root of my SD, as well as replaced it in ctrNAND. everything is working as before, no issues to speak of.
That's Luma, not A9LH. arm9loaderhax.bin isn't A9LH.

I would like to do some spring cleaning in my sd card...Where do game save files go? What format do they normally appear so I could safely delete them. Thanks

The patching of the system's clock/l2 cache you are just patching the memory region and setting the flags? Because it doesn't look like you're patcing the kernel's service call.

Hi guys a little help please, i accidentally updated my N3DS to 11.3 without updating Luma. and got a black screen when booting up. i could access the Dcrypt9WIP ( 2016/5/5), Lumav5.5 config only and the update of the system itself while holding L+R+DOWN+A. removing SD card then booting up shows nothing and turns off again. also on DECRYPT9WIP shows on the bottom NO EMUNAND is this normal? Thanks.

Just go and update Luma3DS manually. Grab the latest release and put it there.

Hey guys, I'm in a bit of trouble and need your help.
So I had my Luma3DS on my N3DS all fine running the latest firmware.
But,Due to some accident I accidentally updated the sysnad to the latest firmware version.
I thought it wasn't a big problem because soundhax just released recently and I used that as my entrypoint to HomeBrew Launcher.
From that point I selected Luma3DS from Homebrew Launcher but all I get was a black screen.
Tried it multiple times and it seems Luma just stuck at BlackScreen, I even tried to download the latest version and still a Blackscreen.

Basically what I was trying to do was
Sysnand > Soundhax > Homebrew Launcher > Luma (Blackscreen)

Any solution to this issue ?

Thanks,
:)

I guess you were using EmuNAND and you updated your sysNAND to 11.3.0.

You can DSiWarehax/hardmod and restore a backup if you have a NAND backup. If not enjoy homebrew on 11.3.0.

I am trying to download older versions of Luma3DS from github, and am getting errors when I click the link for the 7zip file. I would compile the source code if I knew how (I don't) so I am wondering if there is another way to get those 7zip files?

How do I take a dump and get the file and line number where the exceptions occurred? I would like something similar to Java's Throwable.printStackTrace.

Edit:
I just ended up pushing everything to the stack before my break/removing code until it worked to figure it out.
