other tools to download the games..

speaking of VPS so no way for Windows..

Also - this sounds like a silly question but:

If I've downloaded 1tb of games using Wii U USB Helper... and I only have a 128gb SD card, and installing to an external USB drive... I'll need to copy to SD, install, delete SD, rinse and repeat like 10 times, right?

No on the manual copy; I've only ever used your tool (which is awesome, BTW!) to transfer game data to my SD.
Was kinda hoping that someone else would try installing Minecraft from NUS, for a sanity check on my end.

Since you're probably only interested in games you'd be able to use, go to the title keys site and sort using the ticket column. Then just look for the ones that have tickets, but don't have a title key shown. Those are the ones that aren't on NUS.

How can i install dlc? I have already downloaded it, but i click in "add dlc", nothing happens, and also, there are red letters that say "cfw only" and i really dont know what does that mean. I am installing Xenoblade Chronicles to play in Cemu.

Hello, according to your screenshot the DLC already has been downloaded.
Regarding that particular game I believe the DLC actually is only a bunch of packs you download to improve the loading times, which would have no effect on a game already installed on USB.

The application does not work with mono. To use it on linux you have to use the Microsoft .net runtime and wine.

I have not tried myself but there is no reason why this title would not work. Are you sure you have sigpatch enabled ?

I have not gotten into CFW or sigpatching or whatnot yet. Minecraft is a disc title (originally only on eshop), so my understanding is that it wouldn't need any of that (?). It does not show up as a CFW title in your program...

Unfortunately I do not use linux so I can't confirm but I know some people managed to get it running on linux without any issue so it might have something to do with your wine setup. You can always send me the error you get but I cannot promise I will be able to help.

Well not all disc titles have their tickets dumped. Some only have the title key, in which case the app needs to forge a ticket, hence the need for sigpatch.
For instance, Minecraft Story Mode USA is one of those so I was just wondering if you are talking about this title.
In any case, could you show me the content of the game directory on your sd card?

The game 0005101D9D00 and update downloaded, transferred, and installed fine, and launched at least up to the intro screen. No CFW.

Why not run VMWare under wine and emulate Windows from there?
It's by far most easiest method.

@Felek666 does work but on most VPS Machines they is no way to activate the hypervisor!

Would share one of my lots and lots Linux VPS Machines for one Windows VPS!

Well, I just tried manually deleting the Minecraft (not Story Mode) files and downloading again, and it installed and loaded as expected this time. Oh well... probably one of those random glitches or I mucked up something somewhere trying to figure this stuff out. Sorry for wasting ya'lls time, but I (and the kids!) do really appreciate the assistance!

By the way, I found that Wii USB helper did not update to reflect a change of download directory until I closed and restarted the app.

You copy the games to SD card, not to the hard drive. You then install from the SD card to your WiiU HDD.

Or you use the network install method and don't plug anything into your PC.
