299MB? You must not have many .hmod files on your system. I can't seem to go over 280 without getting "out of memory" error when flashing the NES.
True. I have haven't messed with MAME or larger hmods. Though I currently have mednafen_pce, gambette, genesis_plus, mgba, snes9x2005 and snes9x2010 all installed. I have no issues so far and have been able to save my progress :) Oh and a custom GUI with zelda music hack hmod. This lil NESCE is my alltime favorite system, to date!

I was messing around with the skin hack for my NES mini when I noticed that it looks different depending on the TV size. I have a 32 inch and 40 inch HDTV and the skin is to short or too long depending on what TV I have it hooked up to. So I guess I'll be editing a skin for one or the other. I'm not gonna upload a public skin for everyone. Bummed...

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

The file is gone now. Do you mind re-upload them again? Thank you very much.
No problem. My bad. I moved them to another account but I couldn't update my old post.

I need help!

If you have controller that still not working on v2.14 please do the following steps:

1. Install mod with stecial debug version of controller driver (drag&drop it on hakchi2 window): http://clusterrr.com/temp/clovercon_debug.hmod
2. Turn NES Mini off.
3. Connect this controller to NES Mini (only one controller, any port).
4. Turn NES Mini on. Wait until it booted up.
5. Close hakchi2 if it's opened.
6. Download: http://clusterrr.com/temp/clovercon_getlog.zip and unpack it somewhere.
7. Run "getlog.bat" from this archive. It should create "clovercon_debug.txt" file.
8. Send this "clovercon_debug.txt" to me: [email protected]

This shall be my homework tomorrow. I'll let you know the result ASAP, Cluster. Thank you.

well i'm still unable to remap my Nes30 pro, even after a clean install from original dump and a system reset (my saves ): ..), so here is my debug file
only the nes30 pro was plugged on the nes classic retroreciever
Code:
Clovercon: initializing controller 0 on bus 1, gpio 195
Clovercon info: added device for controller 1
Clovercon: initializing controller 1 on bus 2, gpio 194
Clovercon: probing classic controller
Clovercon info: probed controller 1
Clovercon: Clovercon setup
poll: 84 86 86 86 00 00 FF FF 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
con_info_data before setup: 00 00 A4 20 01 01
con_info_data after setup: 00 00 A4 20 03 01
Clovercon info: opened controller 1, controller in OK state
Clovercon: Clovercon setup
poll: 84 86 86 86 00 00 FF FF 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
con_info_data before setup: 00 00 A4 20 03 01
con_info_data after setup: 00 00 A4 20 03 01
Clovercon info: opened controller 1, controller in OK state

the first before/after results are different, maybe that's the problem?

Hello Cluster.

Why do drag&drop of the retroarch & cores zip doesn't work with hakchi here ?
On which version?

Does anyone know where I could get a stripped down version of Castlevania - Symphony of the night? I vaguely remember back in my PSP emu days that there was one around 50 MB.

Well, it is working but i can't map inputs correctly.
In windows i have all inputs correctly mapped, but on the nes i'm unable to get more buttons than he classic nes controller.
It seems that i am the only one with that issue
I tried to mess a little with retroarch and clovercon config files, with no luck, then i got some hope with your debug post :P
I guess i just have to wait for a new 8bitdo firmware or their reap tool.
I love the controller but this situation makes me crazy.

Hi @NeoPolak, here's what I posted before:

What worked for me was upgrading the NES30 pro with the 1.73beta0 found here:
http://forum.8bitdo.com/forum.php?mod=attachment&aid=NTM1fGFhYWRhNzczfDE0OTAzMDMzNTN8MHwxMTc5

I then upgraded the Retro Receiver's firmware to 1.05beta3 found here:
http://download.8bitdo.com/Tools/Receiver/NesMini/8Bitdo_NesMini_RR_Firmware_V105_beta3.zip

I didn't need to remap any buttons, they all worked as expected (i.e. X = X, Y = Y, L and R = L and R) . The only thing I needed to do was remap the D-pad. Analog sticks work fine too, although they are a tad too sensitive.

What is the firmware installed for your NES30 Pro and Retro Receiver? It's important that you have the proper firmware installed otherwise it won't work.

The 1.05beta3 for the Retro Receiver makes it so it recognizes the extra buttons for what they are (and not turbo buttons). The 1.73beta0 firmware for the NES30 Pro makes it work properly with the Receiver. The ONLY thing i had to do in Retroarch was remap the directional pad. Everything else worked fine.

Don´t worry, me too. After about 286 I get an error. And I have not many cores installed: fb_alpha + neogeo bios, dosbox, genesis_plus_gx, mame2003 (no additional bios), retroarch and snes9x2005 :D

You have to use the 1.05 beta 0 firmware for the receiver the beta 3 firmware sets x and y to turbo and wont let you reset them right.

:gun::shit:
i'm gonna eat my hairs!!!!! i was preparing candles, some incense sticks and a newborn for a sacrifice for the glory of satan
Then i saw your post and wanted to prove that it doesn't work too, because i did exactly the same thing last week and it doesn't worked. But hey, this time it worked :grog:
 I'm becoming insane

I can finally use L2 R2 for savestates :gba:
But i'm still unable to map L3 R3, they are not recognized, but hey it's a better situation than before

now i have to do the same with my 2nd controller to see if it wasn't just a lucky try

so RR is on 1.05beta0
and the nes30 pro is on v2.0
