Stylus? You can buy them for like $5. It doesn't need to be Nintendo-certified to work.
This is whats wrong with people today. They need to use whats "official" or "certified". If it works it works.

This isnt the case with everything but most scanarios in life.

I can see why he's upset. Not everyone likes touching screens with their fingers, leaving nasty fingerprints all over. Styluses are also far more accurate for input and thusfore often better for operating a device like this.

That's what tempered screen protectors are for

Because the stylus is non necessary. Wath you think lack in the OS will for sure come in system update trough the years ... Like the 3DS.

Pip'
No to mention, the original Wii, I got mine on launch and all you could do was play Wii and gcn games on it, for the first month or so before the online stuff was functional.

As for the lack of a stylus, I haven't even seen(in person) a switch let alone try one, but on my Wii u, I find the stylus completely unnecessary unless you want to draw something. Most of the time, I leave it tucked inside the games and forget it exists tbh lol. I'm sure I'm not the only one, so Nintendo prolly saw an opportunity to cut production costs by omitting it.

You can pick one up at a dollar store for next to nothing tho or any tech oriented store for higher quality

Because a resistive-screen stylus is a piece of plastic, while a capacitive one needs a little bit of tech, and therefore costs more. Plus, a stylus is needed on a resistive touchscreen because the accuracy without it is a nightmare. A capacitive touchscreen is much more precise.

Not only does the switch have no stylus, but no wrist strap. Sure you got one for the joy con when not used on the rail grips but i'd be worried of dropping my $300 system more than finger prints. (For the record i still worry about finger prints.)

You can't really blame Nintendo for not including a wrist strap tho, it's something that comes as an added benefit, not a standard on tablets.

^^^^ this. Plus I also have trouble with capacitive displays not registering my touch. Banks, theatres, Switch, Phones. Weird I know. I usually have to get someone else to purchase my ticket at theaters from those kiosks. I never used a stylus with my 3DS resistive display, didn't need to. I also miss my Anol media player, it died.

Entering stuff on the switch keyboard by finger is a nightmare for me.

I'm an alien.

I beg to differ, I had a DS Lite and I was using its original stylus for quite some time, the touch screen was scratch free and spot less.
After I lost it and decided to save a few bucks I bought a 3rd party pack of stylus, you can imagine what happened then.

That Nintendo sticker is not there for just being there ya know.
