Hardware why should i buy the pro controller?

Same can be said about the Joy-Cons. Just dock them back and they'll be recharged always, I haven't used the cable to recharge my Switch Pro Controller 'cause it's just so much convenient to use the JCs.
just dock them back? no need to do that with the PC just sit it down and pick it back up ! i forgot to charge it the other night i charge it once a week in the morning but forgot and had to use the JC to play zelda zomg it was like pulling teeth so i said yeh fuck this shit so i put the pc on charge for about an hour than got 6 hours play time out it from an hour charge!

My joy cons haven't been on charge since Wednesday and still has a full battery bar. I'm starting to think it's measuring power wrong.
If you're like me and like the JoyCons, then there's absolutely no point in buying one for any other reason than multiplayer.
My grip is still in the box, I have silicone grips on my JoyCons and I just hold one in each hand, it's really comfortable.
Like the only difference that could affect gameplay is that the Pro Controller sticks have wider travel, but Splatoon isn't a game you really sneak around in so having that sort of precision movement letting you easily sneak around by moving the stick just slightly isn't a benefit in this game. So I don't see how a Pro Controller would give you an advantage.

Have you played BotW (Wii U) with a Pro Controller? Have you tried to do 'crapparatus' puzzles with the ProCon? The game will tell you to use gamepad controls; I guess the same may apply for other games.
Button placement might be different, but that only has an effect on comfort, not response time.
Instead of spending around $100 for a controller. Wait til a third party one comes out, that's what I did for the Wii u pro controller and it still works flawlessly. Just make sure it's a decent well known company putting it out and not a cheap piece of crap that will burn your house down lol. So go with madcatz or some other well known 3rd party accessory maker

Madcatz still a thing? Can't trust them as far as I can throw them. PDP is the only third party I can trust.. Even then...
If you have to make a stupid thread on a forum asking this question, then the answer is "you shouldn't" because you obviously don't need and don't want one.

3rd party controllers are pretty much always garbage. You get what you pay for. They're cheaper for a reason. Generally if it's a good controller, it's basically the same price anyway so why risk it.

the buttons are placed in such a way on the pro controller, that your thumbs needs to move in a semi circle similar to xbox1/360 controller. this does increase response time, atleast for me. i have said it before in a competitive game this will be a must.
I have used the Pro Controller in BotW U. I've done a few of those shrines. The reason it makes you do that is cause the Pro is an official controller and doesn't have gyro.
The official Switch Pro Controller has gyro in it and games will only cater to the official one, so if a 3rd party pro comes out without gyro, it might break games since it is assuming it has gyro.
Like the touchpad and the light aren't "(more of a gimmick than a gaming necessity)"? I've yet to see a single ps4 game that couldn't have worked just as well using a traditional select button instead (option already being start renamed for no damn good reason). The light is frankly a annoyance, not a feature.
they both have "internal batteries" but how long does the switch pro last? PS4 battery life is abysmal, wii U pro was astonishingly long, though. I'm guessing switch pro is closer to that, but correct me if I'm wrong.
I'm just gonna wait for a price drop/ just as good third party controller. 70 bucks for a fucking standard controller is insane.
I don't see how an NFC reader and Hd Rumble (whatever that even is) justifies that price. It has features no one gives a shit about and is lacking analog triggers that have become very important in modern gaming.
I already thought the PS4 controller at 60 bucks was crazy. For now I'm just going to stick with the Joycon grip or have them separate. They work perfectly fine and aren't too small for me. The sticks are fine, albeit a tad bit small compared to other controllers. No D-pad sucks but I don't notice it in 3D games.
