I'm pretty sure I could probably install it with a vpk or something.

even if you succeed in installation, it would give you some kind of error like what happened with youtube. Doesn't hurt to try though and report back.
There's a Euro and JP available through pkg installer.

It doesn't work, period. As mentioned, Skype ended their support for the Vita version in June. After that, the API was dropped and it will no longer connect to Skype's web servers. Same thing happened with Youtube, which is why that doesn't work as well. There's nothing you can do to get the official app working.

Kinda lame that this happened. Also, that LINE did not put their app on the Vita seeing how its still pretty popular in Japan and all.

That's odd... Last year i checked and it worked on the psp just fine. Even in 2016 .

Does anyone know if that still works? Because if it does it makes no sense that they removed support for the vita but not the psp o.O

Skype for the PSP went down the same time as the Vita one did.

yeah, last year in 2016 skype on my PSP skype was working.
Don't have my PSP anymore so can't check.
