i just cross checked the list with the model F4-3200C14D-32GTZ
which is the one you bought and is not on the list
the one on the list is the C14Q not the C14D
i'm guessing it got overlooked or something.

that card in the picture is on the list it says
F4-3200C16Q-32GTZB on the card,
did you by any chance get a different card than the one you ordered on amazon?
the card in the amazon link is different than the one in the picture.

it should work then, i can't see a reason it wouldn't if it's on the list
which ram slots did you try so far?
also can you take another picture this time of both ram cards?

also is there a way you can set the iso on your camera to a lower setting and set the exposure a little higher so there's less film grain?

RMA it then. Intel have a good warranty service. Just send it back to them, turn around time is pretty quick as well.

You should still have warranty. Intel give a 3 year warranty on retail processors and 1 year on oem.

Amazon are pretty good with returns, I've never returned such an expensive item to Amazon though, so not sure if they test etc. With such an odd/intermittent problem, I would probably go to Intel. Just need proof of purchase and a description of the problem. Saying fails to post, randomly freezes, swapped out everything except cpu etc will probably be good enough and Intel will swap it. Never actually used Intel directly myself, but people always seem to have nothing but praise for the service.

You should probably just send it directly to intel as amazon isnt responsible for that 30-60 days after purchase (unless you purchased extended warranty from them).
I'm probably gonna rma my 5820k too, USPS here somehow destroyed the shipping box and damaging a motherboard with it and gigabyte denied the rma due to shipping damage.

Do you have access to antother PSU? This sounds like a clear case of a bad PSU to me. That would explain the problems with both motherboards. Someone is going to argue with me but CPUs are pretty resilient. I'm not saying it isn't bad but odds are pretty good that it's not. You don't have that much stuff so even if you had a 300-500 watt PSU laying around, or someone has one you could borrow, it would be worth trying. I'm going to say, I'm about 95% sure it's your PSU.

Good luck.

They are in Europe, if you want.

Most of EU, for first 2 years retailer has to deal with it. Of course you can go direct rma if it's quicker, but retailer has to take care of it if you want. Except UK, UK is generally 1 year at retailer (I can't remember why, something to do with we already had a consumer law covering something).
