Should've mentioned this way earlier, but PortalDS has never worked for me.
The NDS file and the asds folder are in the same directory, but it simply was forever on a whitescreen.

After installing the newest version of CIAs, I noticed that Everytime I launch the app, it attempts to update everything, and after a few seconds of updating the official bootstrap, the app closes to the Home Menu without an error and only makes the sound that plays when you open the home menu when inside an app.
It worked before I installed the new version. :(
EDIT: and setting AUTODOWNLOAD to 0 causes it to crash instead of returning to the home menu right after updating bootstrap.

Hey, can I have myself added to the Google Spreadsheet on the games so I can edit it? I want to test regions for games that didn't have some regions tested. Like how for a lot of games, only the US version was ever tested.

You can request access. I believe there a button that lets you request access, in "View source".

Here's how to prevent the infinite update:

  1. Turn off the wifi. Depending on your 3DS model you may need to either turn off the wifi switch or go into the system settings.
  2. Open TWLoader. If all goes well, TWLoader will skip the update checks since there's no wifi and TWLoader should open successfully. If it still updates, ensure that you turned off the wifi FOR SURE. If it crashes, reinstall both the 3DS and TWL-side .cias.
  3. After TWLoader is open, go into its settings.
  4. Turn off automatic updates. It's still OK to keep bootstrap updates on as long as you don't enable TWLoader updates.
  5. Turn your 3DS system's wifi back on.
  6. Reopen TWLoader. If it still checks for updates to TWLoader, you must have either done something wrong or the settings didn't save.

Thanks! I solved the problem.

hey so I want to load games off my r4i-sdhc rts 3ds cart. I have a few questions.

I've installed both cias (using the qr scanner and fbi)

I've copied the contents of 'sdroot' from 'TWLoader.7z' onto the root of my sd for my 3ds

- Question: do I do anything with the 'flashcardroot' folder?

I've put dspdump and the menu.wav files in their place.

I've coped the contents of 'for Slot-1 microSD (R4i-SDHC RTS)' folder from 'DS Game Forwarder pack (DSTT, R4i Gold, R4i-SDHC, SC DSONE).7z' to the root of my sd in my r4 fashcart.

- Question: do I do anything with the 'for 3DS SD Card' folder? and do I need to keep all the firmware files for my r4 flashcart on the sd card for it?

Yes. Extract what's in the folder to your flashcard's SD root.

No, and no, unless you want to keep the files.

I always get a white screen when i try to switch to my flashcart and add game

Also, when I go into the settings and hit b, it dims the screens but seems to freeze or crash, I have to hard shut down my 3ds sometimes. The only way I found to save my settings is to hit start to force update the loader

EDIT: Even when I try loading the flashcart itself using TWLoader, it goes to white screen - where If I load it normally through the 3ds menu, it loads fine.

To save settings, instead of pressing START to update, press HOME and exit TWLoader.
Also, did you try "Add Games" in the flashcard game list.
