I don't know about you, but after over a hundred hours (on the Switch version), I'm still playing the game and finding new stuff.

I don't have the game yet but I'm sure as hell that the game will be Zelda heaven for me.
I love Skyrim because of its open-world despite the limited movesets and I love the Zelda series because of the gadgets and gizmos despite its slight linearity. But those two combined!?!

Anyway, it's possible that people who easily find such games boring are those with rather limited creativity. The need for them to use their imagination in the game puts them off and that they usually always require the game to provide everything for them instead of them thinking of things they can do for fun. They don't find discovering things as a fun thing in gaming and usually, the only thing they consider fun is if they can pull off flashy attack animations all the time.
That's the very same complaint Skyrim got, but for me, it's the most memorable open-world game I have every experience and I'm getting the feeling that BotW will take its place soon.

I can't wait to have enough time to play it on Cemu!
It's sad though that the bashers seem to be nitpicking (more than before) every decision Exzap makes about its development. :-/

@Cemu-developent team: an option to enable exclusive full screen would be an awesome feature, since it enables Nvidia online game sharing and it would be extremely appreciated! (Though I admit it's not necessary in the slightest)

Hello guys,

Sorry if this has been discussed before but I have two problems regarding Cemu.

1. Enabling the FXAA option in the nVidia Control Panel for Cemu.exe doesn't seem to give any anti-aliasing effect. I have tested this so far for Super Mario Bros Wii U. How to fix this?
2. For some reason, when playing the game, the emulation lags a lot every time Cemu has to emulate a new animation for the first time. I'd have to switch to windowed mode and back to fullscreen mode to get full 60 fps again, otherwise the lag would keep on. Is this normal or can I fix this?

I have a GTX 660Ti with 378.92 WHQL drivers. Running on Windows 10 x64 Pro and having Cemu 1.7.3.

Hope someone could help me with this.

@Byokugen @Cherry-Kun
Many things come to mind.
- It could be the RAM issue I was talking about in my previous post (and I've seen many similar cases so that's definitely something to check)
- It could be a borked shader cache if you've imported an old one or someone else's one
- It could be a corrupted or incomplete game dump
- It could be a hybrid GPU configuration issue (if it's a laptop with integrated GPU + dedicated GPU). You want to make sure CEMU will use your dedicated GPU in your GPU driver
- It could be a GPU driver issue (too old/buggy ? Radeon ?)
- It could be a VCC redist issue (you can search for C++ Installer on Guru3D forums by thatguy91)
- It could be an unstable OC (most definitely not if it's a laptop) if you have any
- It could be a corrupted OS install (sfc /scannow in a command prompt as admin is a first step)

And many other things, really. But you got some ideas :P

Thank you so much, im gonna start looking into them.

i've been playing MK8 on cemu 1.6.3 and it ran pretty good, glitchy graphics at times, but it never crashed. i wanted to try 1.7.3 and after a while the game crashed out of nowhere S:
I'm playing on an Intel (R) Core i7. 3.40GHz. 16gb ram.
My graphic card is an AMD Radeon HD 7800

@Esppiral Nope not getting that one. What GPU?

Sorry I should have said rewards since that's the nomenclature used by patreon.

Additional news is the $1 reward. Advanced builds(aka the patreon build) is the $5 reward. You only get the reward while you are a patron. If you cancel your patronage then you stop getting the reward.

AMD R9 380X

Check the graphic pack repo for a workaround for those eyes, also feel free to join the official discord btw.

Thanks It works! Enemies don't have eyes anymore, there are still some other artifacts but I don't know where they come from.

A little update on my MK8 issue. I went to cemu's reddit, and many people have the same issue with this specific game. A guy redownloaded cemu and MK8 worked for him. Did the same thing and it looks like a slightly upgraded version has been released, 1.7.3d, and now the game works perfectly.

Thanks everyone who helped me :D

I managed to fix problem 1. Apparently FXAA gets applied when using a higher resolution with a graphics pack (or the AA effect wasn't very pronounced at native resolution.

I still have the following problem though:

For Radeons specifically I've seen a few reports about using an older driver to fix the biggest issues (15.9.x I think it was). Though depending on the game, some graphical glitches can be bypassed/fixed with graphic packs.

With the exception of having to switch between windowed and fullscreen this is normal behavior for the emulator. The first time it has to compile a shader it lags. This is why it creates a shader cache to load at start up. The only way around it is to play the game to get a bigger shader cache or download someone else's cache who has already done that. You shouldn't have to switch to windowed to get it back to up to speed though.

How long have you been a patreon supporter?

Weird, for me I have to switch to windowed mode to fix it. How long does a lag caused by compiling a shader last usually?

Another post about my NSMBU issue.

So, I figured maybe it was the specific update I had added, so I used Wii U Helper to delete the update and swapped down to the second one. No change, it still crashed on the title screen. As an experiment, I tried the version that included "Super Luigi U" instead of it being DLC. It was supposed to have Pro Controller support right out of the gate. Same crash at the same point.

How are you guys able to play NSMBU with the Pro Controller update? I've tried damn near everything I can think of, to no avail.

All I did was follow the instructions in the link in my sig, worked perfectly and has done for a while.

Suggestion. Start again with a fresh dump of the game and an OLDER version of Cemu, before update support was added. Apply the fix and see if that works. If it does, then try a newer version.

@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.

i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways

@Psionic Roshambo AI assisted game creation is kinda already here, there was recently that AI that can turn any 2D image into a fully modeled 3D object, it's not perfect, but it's a starting point, beats starting from zero

but most recently, there was one that actually generates a working unity scene with terrain and textures already set up that you can import right into unity, that's a huge time saver right there
