So i got a used WII U, and when i first got it their were two NNID's on it and i cannot delete them without the password. I didn't want to format the wii u because their were some good games downloaded to it. I was wondering if their was a way to delete the two other accounts off my wii u without the passwords and without formating the wii u. Thanks for your help.

Don't think there is. Even if you managed to delete them, the games would stop working since they're tied to the NNID.

Wouldn't it be theoretically possible to delete other accounts with the hacks we have available? I too have a useless un-deletable account on my wii u, but resetting my wii u right now would be a pain, because there is no effective save manager and all of my wii data is already on the vWii of the wii u. :/

Before you do anything with the system via ftpiiu_everywhere, please at least back up your tickets with tik2sd. The tickets are what allows your console to run the purchased titles.

I haven't seen any procedure for getting rid of accounts, and any steps that someone comes up with should be tested on someone's redNAND before you try it on your system. I don't know how picky the WiiU is about being able to find those accounts at startup, and it would suck if you made the machine unbootable by deleting one part of the account and missing another.

I have deleted a user with password protection from my wii u. I tested it on RedNAND, but im trying to figure out how to restore my RedNAND to test a few more things.

I have successfully deleted all unwanted mii's with or without password protection. and setup a new test mii. All works good !!
I had a game I downloaded from the eshop that I bought with a mii with NNID. And the game still works with the new mii even after I deleted the mii with eshop purchased.

Now I need to write up a tutorial on how to do it. or get someone to help me with a programming a homebrew app or something. Keep a look out for it.

That doesn't appear to be true. We haven't found anything in the tickets that tells which NNID downloaded the title, just which console ID the title is valid on.
*cough* CFW *cough*
Even if there were something in the ticket related to the user, CFW would only make the signature in the ticket apper valid. You'd still have to remove whatever it was in the ticket that associated it to the NNID.

That is neat, so it seems there is nothing on the Wii U keeping track of tickets from accounts removed "this way".

What is missing now is how will the eShop act after the NNID owner unlink it from the Wii U online with his password, if it will still recognize the tickets and let you re-download games or just deem them invalid.

(Also anyone reading, remember that "Deleting an NNID" is a complete different procedure that requires online and will delete your account, purchases and everything from Nintendo servers forever. What was done here was "Deleting an User".)

Correct. I have just deleted the users from the wii u. Haven't deleted from server.
I'm still in testing

Should I test delete the mii that downloaded the game and delete my purchased game and connect to eshop and try to redownload the game?

You can delete a user that is associated with a NNID without it affecting existing tickets, but you should back up your tickets with Tik2SD. That way, even if you were to delete the NNID from Nintendo, you'd have the tickets in case another ID's visit to eShop deleted the tickets. (which I don't think it does, but who is going to delete a NNID that has purchases?)

Ok. I deleted my mii from wii u that had purchased the game
Then i deleted the game
Created my new mii with nnid
And went to eshop
When I looked at software downloads it pops up an error message and then wants me to exit eshop
I go back into eshop and did a search for the game and it says purchased
I redownloaded it and it plays fine.

All i need is to delete the users, if someone can tell me how that would awesome.
It is very doable and you will still have the games, but im still testing. Don't want someone to screw something up. Be patient

So legit .tiks in Wii U allow you to download games from eShop?
That's neat.

This is possible. Its some button command combination and you might need to call Ninty to get some passcodes. But I've deleted 2 accounts from my Wii U with no password, they still stay tethered to the device but they don't show up anymore. I did this on the phone with someone from Ninty.
