@luismtzr.

MAME2003 SETUP:

Here's what you do
(I put all the files needed in one spot for convenience in installing mame):

1. Install the retroarch module first.
https://github.com/kaz321123/Mame2003-Samples/blob/master/retroarch.hmod

Download and put this file into user_mods, and install the module from the Hakchi2 menu>Modules>Install Extra Modules.

2. Install Mame2003 Module::
https://github.com/kaz321123/Mame2003-Samples/blob/master/mame2003.hmod

Download and put this file into user_mods, and install the module from the Hakchi2 menu>Modules>Install Extra Modules.

3. Then let's say you want to play pac-man (you know you do)...

Pull the pac-man zip into the program, choose 'as archive'.
On the command line, put this (or something similar-your directories might be slightly different): /bin/mame2003 /usr/share/games/nes/kachikachi/CLV-Z-OYAEV/pacman.zip
(a space needs to be after 'mame2003')

Mame 2003 uses Mame romset 0.78.

Download this: https://github.com/kaz321123/Mame2003-Samples/blob/master/mame2003.hmod

/bin/mame2003 /usr/share/games/nes/kachikachi/CLV-Z-
OYAEV/pacman.zip (Or just replace /bin/bin, with /bin/mame2003.)

Just my quick and dirty instructions. Hope this helps a bit.
whats difference from tht mame2003 hmod from one in PCM release?

you don't need bios, use : /bin/cps2 /usr/share/games/nes/kachikachi/CLV-Z-HGLYT/xmvsf.zip

be sure to install fb_alpha_cps2.hmod before :)

Of course bro! Does it look weird on the screen with a space in front of the s? I have 317mb flashed on 2.12 with everything working.320 is too much tho. So 300 must be a soft cap. I ain't touching 2.13. Only to copy my games over and check to see where my memory is at.

Told you bro. I still don't know what I'm talking about? :)

Hey credit where due. Thank you. I still can't try it on my machine for a few days, but I'm thinking (and hoping) this will indeed solve it. Just so you understand why I was discounting this method... your suggestions seemed focused on solving the issue of being unable to upload certain things. Since we weren't having that issue (uploading wasn't the problem), and since in my case I was able to "solve" this once before by adding an extra subfolder and not touching the main folders, I did not think this would have an impact. Clearly I was wrong there (at least in the case of @saxman717), and your contribution here is seriously appreciated. I will report back with my results in a couple days.

I hope it fixes it. Sometimes the weirder fixes are the only fixes haha!

Thanks bro. Ain't that the truth. I'd love to know what's causing the error to begin with, so hopefully Cluster or someone above my pay grade figures it out!
Well whatever you do. If it does fix it. And you still wanna make changes. Copy and paste your whole hakchi folder and do your tests in that folder. If it works keep that folder if it doesn't then just go back to other folder and resync. It makes things so much easier. If it works once it will always work. So make sure you have a copy of your best most fully functional hakchi at all times. You don't have to custom flash again or anything. Unless you upgrade.

HUGE THANKS ---- this actually worked. I really don't know what would cause this to be the problem, but as soon as I put a space before the 'S' in 'Sega Genesis', rearranging that folder to the very first on the list, and then reflashing the games & folders, I now can open all folders and sub-folders with no black screens & permanent C8 errors. I still have the full amount of 523 games (272 NES, 118 SNES, 71 Sega, 55 GB and 7 GBA), totaling ~294 MB, and can use them all just fine.

It would be great to get to the bottom of this issue and why it happened in the first place. For now, though, thank you very much for helping to troubleshoot this problem.
I'm fairly sure it has something to do with how the packets are being divided up before transfer. They are sent in folder order. I have seen C4, C8, missing images, and games and believe they are mostly related to this process.
